Hello,
I am decently new to cryptocurrency. Therefore I don't know all the terms or everything about it. Are there any tips for me? I want to start investing in this and making some pocket money to spend on clothes and etc. Things such as how to find good cryptocurrencies to invest in or the decision process of investing in a cryptocurrency. Basically anything that you guys found was hard when you started out as beginners and wished you knew at the start.
Thank you very much, Rypno

If there was one thing I wish I didn't do when I got started out is spend my bitcoin exactly how you're describing you'd like to use them. I bought games, candies, stickers, accounts, the list goes on and on; but if there really is one thing I wish i knew I would've told myself "don't spend a single bit, don't even send dust!" I would've been a millionaire if all I did was buy less clothes, games, etc. So really think on what you'd like bitcoin to be in your life. If all you did was put $100 into Bitcoin in 2010 and never touched it until today you would have over $100 million. When I was new to cryptocurrency I wish someone would've told me that; it is the future of international trade and the price will reflect that for years to come. My advice is at least put a chunk of your fiat into bitcoin, and maybe a couple other off your favorite coins then not touching them for 10-years... Look at it as a long-term investment and then 10-years from now you can send me a thank you.

Yes we wish we already knew what would happen. So basically you will be risking your money now.
You will need a lot of reading about the new crypto currencies that are also starting if you want to invest with them. Now, you could just stay with bitcoin also. Invest now, wait later for profit. If you see how much it grew for this year then you will understand what I am trying to say. This next year could double or triple it again or maybe more. So buy now and dont look at the price just like what others did. Buried it to their mind until they came back and had already made a lot of money.

It is impossible to have cryptocurrencies without knowledge. You're not going to ask for advice before every transaction. I think you need to spend more time on the stock exchange. When you learn to understand the behaviour of the prices of cryptocurrencies you will not need the advice which may be incorrect.

So if it you buy and hold over time the Bitcoin has become an investment as people that earned or purchased them previously have seen an increase in the market value. Also comparing the market value increase and fluctuations compared to other alt coins the bitcoin tend to be the 300lb gorilla as afar as returns go for the buy and hold over the long term. This has created the biggest interest to new comers much like myself as I search and learn to see which coins or ico offers make the best opportunity.

Hey. I started investing half a year ago, but during that time I already learned a lot, I found many decent sources for information and enough for the student. I advise you to start with something simpler. For example, taking part in bounty companies.

Investing in Cryotocurrencies is like gambling and also if your investing in new currencies then you need to be lucky . If the currency you invest in turns out to be a huge success then no-one can stop you from becoming rich. The people who invested in Bitcoins few years back are probably enjoying now as they might just have earning millions just because of the increase in prices of Bitcoin.

As a beginner you have gain knowledge first about all types of cryptocurrencies and there advantages. But you have to consider drawbacks of them also. As all cryptocurrencies work online through internet, so you have to protect them from hackers. Main point is that investments in crypto is having high risk, so still it have high returns, you firstly think about all do and don'ts

...Investing in Cryotocurrencies is like gambling...
I've gotta disagree with you there my friend. Investing into bitcoin is far from a gamble, it's an invention into innovation, new ideas and the future; that is very different that going all in on the flop. A lot of ICOs these days are pretty close to a gamble, though, I'll give you that!

There are two very important things regarding crypto, specially bitcoin. One, is that you should really hold your coins after you invest in it. If you need to spend some for any reason, then replace them as soon as possible with a new investment. Bitcoin is still very recent, and there will be a halve in 2020, so the price will rise because of that. So if you invest now, at least hold them until 2020. Second, the market is very volatile, so don't panic sell. It's perfectly normal to see dips of 40% to 50%. If you are an experienced trader, you can try to sell close to the top, or somewhere in the middle, but don't sell in the dip. If you can, invest on the dip, because bitcoin normally comes stronger after those price movements.

Hello everyone, recently there has been a lot of panic on this forum due to the big price change of Bitcoin (as it always happens). Understandably, many people are confused and worried as they have lost thousands in their value, especially if they have bought higher than the current price. But as someone who has been into Bitcoin for 2.5 years (not too long, I know) I want to advice to newcomers to simply relax. Huge price swing were always a part of Bitcoin, so there's nothing extraordinary here and the worst thing you can do is to make panic trades. Basically, there are two main approaches to Bitcoin trading - you either hodl it, meaning you never sell it until it reached "the moon", or you are actively trading it to get profit from volatility. So, if you believe in Bitcoin's technology and don't experience as a trader, I suggest you to not touch your coins - Bitcoin always tends to increase in its value in the long run.

There needs to be a solution to this fee problem. We can dance around the issue for so long, but at the end of the day it boils down to the simple fact that if it costs 5% to send a Bitcoin transaction no one is going to do it. It doesn't make sense. I think this is a plague on BTC right now.
