Looks like Tether got hacked again, negative 99m of shareholder equity LOL Apparently they forgot to fake their transparency page after printing 100 million today. They will probably say it was a glitch since the money is already at Bitfinex wallet, so can't blame hacking this time. quite the successful business they have going on there! investors are just tripping over each other to send them real, squeaky clean USD in exchange for Tethers. LOL Conclusion : Bitfinex = Tether = criminals

Another proof that you shall not keep your cryptos at an exchange.
Still, that is sad. I've been trading BTC and alts on Bitfinex and Poloniex for months, and it's a great trading place. There are lots of trades, more than enough to make a successful and profitable company. Bitfinex managers should be happy with that single business.
So I hope that if tether crashes, Bitfinex will keep on going as a trading place.

We need the mega big names out including Coinbase who scammed me out of $10 joining fees so good luck trusting them with millions.
All we can do is name and shame them on forums so keep them coming, it's our voice so don't let anyone take it away

Mining is CPU-wars and Intel, AMD like it nearly as much as big oil likes miners wasting electricity. Is this what mankind has come too.

More and more I am picking up on this Tether news really bothers me, this is disturbing. Fortunately not involved with Bitfinex or Tether in any form or fashion but I feel like this has to be stamped out from the world blockchain, blockchain is supposed to be accountable and held in check it can't run rampant like this with out care for people's wealth and property at stake.

Tether now prints $100 million DAILY That is precisely how the US government does it. Nobody seems to worry about the dollar. So why not Tether. WTF? Fake money is fake money. If everyone believes it is real, then it is real!!!!

The biggest joke about Bitfinex is that they are keeping with the massive prints, and we can see that there is a direct connection between the time of printing tethers to the time that bitcoin's price stop falling. They are printing 100M USDT on a daily basis: http://omnichest.info/lookupadd.aspx?address=3MbYQMMmSkC3AgWkj9FMo5LsPTW1zBTwXLThere is no way for it to end in a good way, there is just no way that bitfinex has enough income to print 100M$ in a day. Not only that, it is illegal for a company to do something like that, they are not connected to the US government in any way, so they can't print coins that are backed by the dollar. Once the Federal Reserve finds out about that, Bitfinex would be instantly closed.

I never really tried to understand this currency and it's confusing. Each USDT created is backed by fiat currency assets, right? What is called the Quarantined USDT? Quarantined for what reason, quarantined means "separate and restrict the movement" to me
And if Tether prints $100 mln daily backed by nothing, it means insolvency, and so a collapse. With $100 million a day, we should already be seeing it happen.

I am not a fan Tether in the first place and i never believed and if the things OP said is true ,i am sure they have never provided any proof that they are holding this much amount of fiat amount in the first place and they are connected to bitfinex and Panama,i really do have a doubt ,bitfinix was hacked and they lost millions of dollars, how about them manipulating the amount of tether and purchasing huge amount of bitcoin ,in which case the price increases and they could settle the loss they had with the hack.If my doubts are to be true then we will see a big correction.

USD Tether is always had many controversies. I won't recommend it, the centralization feels to tight in it. Tether is at 1.03$ every time bitcoin crashes, but back to 1.00$ when he stabilized again. it's a bit hard to understand but this how it works, USDT worth more than USD (Meaning that we are actually getting less USD), when its time for bitcoin to recover USDT suddenly equal to USD or very close of it. So how do you think, who get the 3% difference in the end?
I noticed it the hard way, now when I predicted bitcoin is coming down I immediately send my bitcoin to the exchange that offers real USD.
