You're busy, and things are complicated, so you'll be relieved to know that you don't need to think about bitcoin.
You aren't terribly happy with your bank, or banks in general, and although bitcoin allows you to have, spend, and receive money instantly worldwide without the involvement of any bank (or government), you are under no pressure to understand or adopt it, because you see, it will fail.  It will fail, so you can go ahead and forget about it right now.  That leaves you a lot of time for other important stuff.  It will fail for the following reasons:

1) Regular money is still hard to use, middlemen are constantly taking a slice when you move it around, and you have to change your regular money into bitcoin.  Therefore, bitcoin is a real pain in the neck!

2) Even though it would make things easier for you, it would really change things for banks and governments.  Some of their activities would become unprofitable, even obsolete.  Do you think they are going to let that happen?  No way!  Not if they have anything to say about it. And they are very powerful.  Do you want such powerful enemies?  You are not a fool.

3) Even though the Federal Reserve, and central banks worldwide, have a dismal record of failure to use their power to manipulate the money supply to avoid asset bubbles and keep people working, and even though bitcoin, even more than gold, permanently removes from any human being's influence the ability to tinker with the money supply, it cannot work.  You see, central banks are even more powerful than regular banks, and even more powerful than governments.  Every day we see how powerful they are, as their statements never fail to move financial markets.  Just who do you think you are, participating in something that challenges power like that?  Nobody, that's who.  So you will be excused for just forgetting about bitcoin right now.

4) The Winklevoss twins are involved with bitcoin, and even though they fought Facebook, which tramples all over your privacy every day, it is common knowledge that they are a couple of greedy jokers.  You would look like a real dummy, being involved with anything those guys are into.

So just cross this one off your list and go on about your business!

I fear that without a sarcasm tag, some may take you seriously.

5) You don't understand how it works with the all fancy maths and cryptography smoke and mirrors so it's obviously a ponsi scheme scam.
