I remember a long time ago reading something about a java script someone had made that mines Bitcoins, Now that Bitcoin mining on a CPU has long since been obsolete i wonder if it might be possible to create a java script for mining Feather coin or for mining some other alt coin?

The reason i ask is because the ps3 has a web browser capable of running java script.

Not sure if the java script could do GPU mining or not but if it could that would be cool.

ps3 specs:

CPU: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_%28microprocessor%29

GPU: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS3_GPU

Possible, yes, but horribly inefficient. You don't want to do that.

bitminter.com has a nice one for BTC and NMC. I don't know of any for Alt-coins specifically.

There are scrypt javascript libraries, but I don't know how good/bad they are.

You should make one to mine FTC, I'm not sure if this java script scrypt library could use the ps3 GPU though but if it could that would be cool.
