Actually, it depends in the platforms, advocacy and features on the coins that you've wishing to invest which you need to gather enough information first in order decide a kind of coin. Well, each of us have different thoughts which if we are lucky enough of not.

In my opinion, as long as an altcoin can has huge community and interesting with high profits, the price of that coin will increase. Example Stellar, what is the reason that coin also have high price? I think BTCZ has a very tiny $10M market cap and could explode any minute to $300M marketcap similar to ZClassic. No premine, no ICO, no dev tax, no slow start, no fork planned, no jump ship developers, equihash algo good for GPU mining, annonymous creator,  dedictated community, GUI miner, branded android wallet, lots of projects, voting system for new projects, new coin so not too late to get in. One thing for sure is do not invest in any 100% premined coins. (100% Premined coins are called ICOs) They all appear to be scams or significantly overpriced.

I think that is a given. The OP intention is "low market cap" coin, not a dollar as in United States Fiat dollar. .

But the marketcap is also manipulated specially with ICOs but releasing a very small amount and inside trading it to fabricate a preceived huge marketcap. For example, I make a new coin of my own called GarbageICO wth 20,000,000,000 coins, I release only 100 in circulation to myself only while all ICO holders who bought have not received their coins yet. I start trading it at $0.90 to $1.10 bid/ask on multiple exchanges. Then all of a sudden a coin with a total of $100 in insider trading, meaning me trading with myself, has a market cap of $20B !!!

This cannot happen with a mineable coin without premine.

That is why ALL ICOs are 100% premined coins and practically almost 100% are scams.

This coin has some benefits and some feature like smart contract, fast transaction and cheap fee transaction. And also the team founder look very active to promote the advantages of their product.
