the good part is that...

LTC drops by "CENTS" while BTC DROPS by "TENTHS"

Lrn2Math. LTC dropping from, say, 2.66 to 2.40 has dropped by a "TENTH." There's no difference between that, and BTC dropping from, say, $90 to $81. You still lost 10% of your money whether it's in LTC or BTC.

Perhaps it is more desirable to ignore "numbers" and instead directly intuit market psychology? Lots of success w/ this myself, but practice is a requisite.

One's trading style needs to suit their abilities. I for one am in your camp.

i was skeptical too, one has to realize that running a script for a bitcoin wallet and adding a litecoin one only takes an extra what? 10 minutes to set up. it is actually good to have two or more competing ones
if people can figure out bitcoin they can figure out litecoin just as fast

ltc going up on july 10th

ok

I love spending LTC and will buy and use them regardless of price. If there are many more like me, LTC will have a heck of a time dropping below 1 USD... ever.

As long as there are no scrypt ASICs, there remains a purpose behind scrypt-based "coins", and among those, litecoin remains king. As the cliche' goes, it is the silver to bitcoin's gold.

If I was a smart operator with a ton of money I might be thinking of priming a litecoin bubble by smashing the Gox Bitcoin price low, then when gox takes on ltc, fire up a rally and sell into the fever of litecoin being better than bitcoin. Litecoin will be very attractive to people late to the game. As long as they perceive litecoin to be as robust as bitcoin, 100 litecoins sounds better than 3.5 bitcoins.

Basically the aim of the LTC IPO project.

Litecoin has also been losing value, in terms of USD, only gaining to Btc as its been losing ground.

I bought my LTC at 2 cents each.

And they lost value?

Damn that's cheap! I paid 3 times as much for my litecoins!

I've never bought LTC with fiat, only with bitcoin myself. I have no personal recollection of seeing the exchange rate below about BTC0,002.

it was months before your account here was made...
