Hey all,

I’m conducting a research on cryptocurrencies and I’m especially interested in why people choose Bitcoin. And since you are bitcoin users/experts, I thought you would be the best people to ask. It would be great if you could take the time to answer my questions (anonymously).

Am I the only one that feels this survey is more weighted in favor of Ethereum?
A lot of these questions are just repeated and reworded versions of "why are you even still using Bitcoin?"

Either way, I'm keen to see the results of what others have posted.

The reason why many invest in Bitcoin is as a result of its impact in the life of those who early bought Bitcoin not knowing what the investment  will later turn out to give them. The result and turnout made many Millionaires to the admiration and surprise to many that were skeptical at the tremendous turn around of the life of those who invest in bitcoin. You will agree with me that if you will invest today in bitcoin and will leave it for some months or  Years, by the time you will check the worth of your investment. you will be alarmed. Bitcoin is a crypto currency that keep appreciating in price and value.

I'm a bit busy for surveys presently. Nevertheless, I'll give you my views on why Bitcoin is preferred by most crypto enthusiasts.

Pioneer Crypto: Bitcoin is the very first crypto currency and wherever you talk of digital money, it gets mentioned first. The first and the best. That's the thing with being first

2. Antecedence: Bitcoin has come a long way. Experienced a lot of vicissitudes and is still going strong, so people believe and trust it not to disappoint and it hasn't for those who stuck with it.

3. Value: The crypto has value however you look at it. Irrespective of what the governments are saying, Bitcoin has value. That value is based on user perception. A lot of people may not believe in its sustainability but even they cannot doubt its value.

4. Even Skeptics Take Note: Folks that berate it as a bubble can't help giving due regard to its survivalist trait. Ask that JP Morgan guy. Many skeptics are now even purchasing Bitcoin. Who wants to miss out on it?

5.Band Wagon Effect: That the coin has survives a lot is not in doubt. Hacker proof, forks and what have you. It made a name for itself and people have taken note. When new folks want to invest in crypto, Bitcoin is currency of choice.

6. Inflation Proof;  You may have heard there are finite number of Bitcoins to be mined and that the mining difficult increases. Bitcoin is very valuable and not like national currencies they mint at will. That's why it has beaten all the national currencies.

7. A Digital Asset; I wouldn't know if you've got some coins yourself. Try getting some coins, I mean Bitcoin, by next year you'd be surprised how much it would be worth. I got my first coins last year but sold them off  bad idea, very bad, so now I'm collecting more.

Adoption is increasing daily, with people that rejected t, now rushing to get a piece, this will drive the price higher, and can only benefit holders. Majority of users have heard only about bitcoin. It is the poster boy of crypto, and the number one brand at the moment. Overall a good investment.

I only have a few reasons for choosing a bitcoin. the main one is the growing number of new investors.
and the top business people also invest here. the thing that makes me more confident is the limited supply of bitcoin.

I chose Bitcoin over Ethereum because it was not pre-mined to line the pockets of some founders. Bitcoin has no centralized

authority like Vitalik and his founding fathers.  ... A centralized authority can be corrupted or bribed or forced to do

whatever some government or well-funded group wants them to do. I think this is what is going to happen with Ethereum.
