There's a website, http://payb.tc, that will give you a URL for your bitcoin address.  I guess the thinking is that instead of giving an address that's impossible to remember, you can give a URL that is easy to write and possible to remember.

Now as far as I know, this site is totally honorable.  But suppose some miscreant sees this site and has an idea to cheat people.  He could set up a similar site, but after a while, occasionally give out his own bitcoin address instead of the requested address.

I fear there are a lot of such schemes that will need to be wrung out of the bitcoin economy in the coming years.

Hopefully the community can come up with effective solutions before some ambitious government muscles its way in and "helps".

This is true of alot of BitCoin web services outside of the "officialdom" of BitCoin which is mostly bitcoin.org, there is a trust issue that needs to be handled, and I think a regulation/reputation system is needed to stop this... Anyone have any ideas?
