As the USD price of Bitcoin increases, the rewards that popular Bitcoin faucets payout decreases accordingly. Sites that would pay 50-70 satoshi per claim last year are now paying between 15-20 satoshi per claim.
If the price of Bitcoin continues to climb to $50,000 USD, the value of 1 satoshi would conceivably be higher then these faucets could afford to pay out (per climb) compared to the ad income they generate.
Any thoughts on how will these faucets deal with payouts when 1 satoshi is worth too much?
All depending the faucet company, maybe they will close the the website of faucet. If they already exist long time then switch to another coin is good option.

You could probably stack a few claims to get a satoshi or locally fraction them, but it's possible for the faucets to actually phase out when satoshis are worth more.

Surely it will not be able to afford faucets owners. And they're going away. Surely no one else will try to claim faucets and consume time for the small rewards they get. I'm sorry to think that because I'm one of the faucets claimers, but I'm just tired. Due to too low a given bitcoins.

I predict that faucets will all but disappear within the next year.
It will be impossible to run one profitably.

I've been joining some faucet and it has a certain price that is maximum $10,000 I think they were able to deal with the increasing value of bitcoin because they set a fixed amount for the major price the only problem is that if they don't set any limitation for their price they may probably incurred lost from these faucet.

Well, they probably won't exist anymore--that's my take on it. And it'll be unfortunate, because a lot of folks (including myself) get/got their start in bitcoin by using faucets. Right now moonbit.co.in is paying less than 20 sat/claim, or something close to that. And I remember when it used to be in the 1000s. If btc reaches $50k or more, who knows. I can't imagine running a faucet is all that profitable to begin with. I've seen a number of them cease operations, so my guess is the operators don't make a lot of dough from the advertising. Eh. We'll see if/when bitcoin reaches that level. That remains to be seen.

If BTC reaches that status, then PTC need to stop or they need to use point system. I don't think this faucet programs will close and run away as we see no one is clicking those pennies and they even lead to scam.
Earning through Faucet programs is a waste of time, now with the price $50,000 really sucks the mud.

I was never a big fan of these faucets. If you have no other way to earn Bitcoins, then please do some freelancing and earn the salary in fiat cash. Later convert this fiat to Bitcoin. None of the faucets pay more than $1 per hour, which is a massive waste of our time and effort.

Faucets always pays you small ammounts of satoshi in the end they would always win with adsence everytime you go to their site. They woukd pay you a single satoshi maybe after 1-4 Claims or they would just add another zero at the end. Faucets is not the best way to earn money (and yes it's free money) but, you would spend your time in clicking capcha and in the end you would eaen like .5 usd in a week?

If the price of Bitcoin continues to climb to $50,000 USD,
Faucet will give 0.1-1 sat/hour maybe , then faucet will be gone and just a history. People may forget it due on claiming 0.1-1 sat/hour is really not profitable and bored.

When 1 satoshi will be too high reward for faucets to pay, probably they will pay less than 1 satoshi. Rewards will be like 0.5 satoshi, 0.01 satoshi and etc. It's same like Dogecoin faucets paying less than 1 Dogecoin currently and people don't see nothing wrong in that. But it's interesting how much we will need to claim to reach minimal payment which should be greater than dust amount.
Is it possible to have less than 1 satoshi? Faucets will be gone soon and only altcoins faucets will keep running. Faucets are expensive to manage and the rewards arent worth. Also the bitcoin fees dont help at all, because if bitcoin price rises, fees will follow the same. Why do you think less than 1 satoshi isn't possible? It's just a numbers... I don't agree. Bitcoin faucets will be not replaced by altcoin faucets. Users prefer to get Bitcoin and they are less interested in altcoins. Mostly faucets are paying through microwallet services like Faucethub or Faucetsystem, so fees aren't big problem in this case.

Faucets are already giving out negligible rewards especial for the amount of time one spends on clicking for the rewards. More than us, they would be having a closer watch on the price of Bitcoin which influences the rewards being given out. Thinking from another view, some of the faucet sites running JavaScript miners are actually making profit minus'ing the payouts they provide, as browser mining and ads are their only ways to sustain.

Many faucets have their rewards calculated upon usd/btc current price. For example Freebitco.in has their biggest reward calculated as the equivalent of $200, and then lower rewards are divided by 10 each line, the smaller is worth 0.2 cents or 0.002$. If a bitcoin is worth 50 k$, biggest reward will be 0.004 and smallest reward will be 4 satoshi.
With their scheme, they can offer a reward for every user until bitcoin price reaches 200k$. A that time, smallest reward will be 1 satoshi, equivalent of 0.2 cents.

It kind of sucks as it is now.... with faucets paying 15 or 20 sats, and a 25000 or 30000 or 50000 minimum withdrawal, it’s going to take like a year to a get a payout. It is no longer worth it, IMO.
It will take like forever actually, how many days and months you're gonna spend to this faucets just to hit the target minimum withdrawal, it is really a waste of time if you don't have tons of active referrals that will support you. The best way for them is to make the earned satoshi's from faucets convertible to any cryptocurrencies like eth, choice of the user or they will create their own token or coin and reward their users.

well, if at 10k per BTC they can afford to pay 15 satoshi per claim I can see no reason they cannot accomodate and pay 3 satoshi per claim when the BTC price rises 5-fold. The foreseenable problems will start at 150k per BTC when you cannot divide 1 satoshi any further. And 150k is (currently) nowhere in sight

faucets started as a cool little idea to "give away" bitcoin and get more people involved. it was for free and a large amount not dust. there were faucets giving away 3 bitcoin at a point!!! now they are all used for money making both by their owners and the users!
and for years they do not pay you directly, they use a third party (like a bowl to gather the drops) and nothing is stopping them from paying their users 0.1 satoshi 0.00001 satoshi and so on which will solve the price issue and the users will have to accumulate 100,000 satoshi to be able to withdraw!

It is simply a number that you can divide it. For example 1 BTC = 1000 mBTC So in the future when 1 satoshi will cost many dollars we will simply divide it. For example, 1 Satoshi = 1000 mSatoshi. faucets started as a cool little idea to "give away" bitcoin and get more people involved. it was for free and a large amount not dust. there were faucets giving away 3 bitcoin at a point!!! now they are all used for money making both by their owners and the users!

Indeed, the only problem imo is the high fees which will be a limited factor for the transactions..

Lol. Obviously these faucets won't be as easily acquired as before. There was a time when faucets seem insignificant and is only for those that have a lot of time and patience for this kind of thing. Today, you can't really tskr lightly anything that generates btc for free

Exactly! i remember when i used to receive 700-900 Sat per roll on freebitco.in, Anyway i don't think that they will cease to exist but we will start to see the mining faucets pop up everywhere, or the ones which ask people to do surveys. A faucet market will always exist but it will see some transformation for sure. What these transformation will be? we have to wait and see.

At this rate, if Bitcoin would raise to $50,000, faucets would be paying a much higher price indeed. There would come a time that they would be giving out 0.001 btc per captcha. This would never cease to exist since faucets is a way of income of these companies and users who are being interested in Bitcoin is starting to invest via faucets.
