Bitcoin has many advantages like anonymous transactions, decentralization, security etc but some times these advantages also act as disadvantages.For example Bitcoin transactions are anonymous due to which government is not able to identify the people involved in the transactions and government is not able to impose tax on that transactions which effect the economy of the country .Due to this anonymity feature some people also use Bitcoin as a mode of payment in illegal dealings such as drug dealings and ammunition's dealings.Security feature provide by Bitcoin can also be taken as a disadvantage because Bitcoin wallets can only be accessed by using private key that only we know, but if we die or if we lose our private key then all the money will be wasted and no other method will be there to recover it.

The news that you saw in the television, read in the newspaper and the internet or heard over the radio are just news coming from those people who doesn't have Bitcoin. They will tell bad things about it because it's either they thought they are late from buying Bitcoin or they don't really know anything about it. If you will do some research about Bitcoin, you will find out that it has characteristics which make it better than cash or any other medium of exchange.

Right now it's more of a store of value because it's not scaling properly. I'm sure it'll be fixed, once more wallets start using segwit addresses and of course when the lightning network comes into play. That's going to be a game - changer that I'm sticking around for.

You can still be traced and if anyone knows who you are on one end or the other end of the transaction then they can get a pretty good guess as to who you are and where/what you got your Bitcoin from. It's far less anonymous than cash, but more anonymous than credit or debit or whatever.

Bitcoin doesn't do much to meet "cutting edge financial needs" other than being an effective medium of exchange for international financial needs and wealth storage.

Well if the article on the news (please give us the source of news) are talking about bitcoin between be compared with fiat money to be currency of course it will not be suitable basically the purpose of bitcoin is for fixing the weakness of fiat money, bitcoin is not just about advantage in here the profit or just in the price more than it, bitcoin is new revolution in currency, it is more transparant, decentralize and all of the people can see how much the bitcoin can be made, and we don't know how much numbers of fiat money be made by our government.

i don't think it is only advantage yeah we will know that the main advantage of the bitcoin is decentralize, no one can controls it one of the advantage and it is untraceable so it is good fot he negotiation and have an fast transaction but the main reason is to make people unite because for now the people is still spreading the bitcoin in other countries o make it one digital currency
