Albert Wenger, a Union Square Ventures (USV) partner, recently shared his views on the cryptocurrency ecosystem. He made it clear that he feels the current $300 billion market cap is just the beginning of the journey. As an example, he says that he finds it instructive to look at Amazon’s stock chart. With time there is a high chance the same will happen with cryptocurrency.

Everyone has their own point of view, some people say it is beginning of new era and some are considering it towards massive bubble explosion. But there is one thing we see that in all these cases is that with the recent hike in Bitcoin value, it has caught everyone's eye and making it more popular everyday.

For me this is just the beginning of a new era for cryptocurrency. We have never seen this boom in the market and this year marks the start of something big. Bitcoin getting all the attentions now, specially from financial institutions. And look what happened to the price now it is above $11K and we are just starting this month. Just assume what will be the end price in 2017.

It maybe caught the attention of everyone else and I see that there are still who have doubts on bitcoin, but as we move forward, those doubts will turn into positive that will bring new money to our ecosystem.

We still have the CME bitcoin future contracts this year, followed by NASDAQ in Q2, then CBOE will also begin offering bitcoin contracts. So there's a lot of positive things that will come around and that alone make me believed that this is just the beginning of something huge in 2018.

It's rare to see someone being bearish on crypto markets these days. I bet it's due to the massive bullish rally it's been going through over the entire year. Saying that it's going to the moon is the most appealing thing to say among cryptocurrency enthusiasts especially but in my opinion there are many barriers that cryptocurreny would need to overcome if it were for it to become even greater in value in the near future for it to go to the moon.

Some people claim that bitcoin will cost a million. I really doubt it, because then there will be a lot of millionaires who will be able to spend their money. There will be inflation, which will shake the entire world financial system.
