I'm a beginner at bitcoin. Ummm so how can I use bitcoin as a survivalist precaution. I'm thinking of something where it's WWIII and I can still use bitcoin. Probably if it's the end of the world, the USA would probably freeze bank accounts and stocks. So is bitcoin feasible for the end of the world? Like if I fled the USA and went to Africa/switzerland/mexico, can I still use bitcoin? What type of wallet should I use? What brand of wallet should I use?

...hopefully I'm in the right forum category....

bitcoin will survive certainly, it won't be used but it will survive I think. You should use for your purposes a paper wallet. If you will travel from USA to Africa, Switzerland or Mexico you won't have problems using your bitcoins. It's a digital currency.

Not only survive.
If an Apocalypse happens, bitcoin will be one of the only currencies to gain from it.

Bitcoin price increases  when the future is unknown, or when the stock market goes down.

In case a WW3 happens( let's hope not), it is going to be a nightmare to transfer funds to other people as the local banks will probably be closed and also services such as Western Union will cease opeartion.

Bitcoin is going to be one of the only ways to transfer funds at such a case.

In the even the all nodes and all internet dies with the war, then there won't really be any bitcoins to speak of. If you want to survive a war, then stock up on essentials. Food, shelter, whatever basic human needs you can find. Since after the war, everybody will be hungry and torn, no one will even be thinking of bitcoins really. But that is just a theory. Maybe there is another chance that bitcoins will even be the only financial medium alive for all we know.

this is true, if all nodes die bitcoin won’t gain anything from the war. but if somebody has the copy of the blockchain you can use bitcoin also offline. am I wrong?

I think the use of bitcoin is now increasing. Bitcoin is now widely use for online purposes, even in some places bitcoin is also use for shopping in offline store, as the shopkeepers are accepting bitcoin for shopping there. In future we can expect that the use of bitcoin will increase more because the community of bitcoin is increasing from time to time, which is causing the increase in the use of bitcoin.

Bitcoin relies on the internet to perform peer to peer transaction, if there were an apocalypse or global outage that will shut down the internet, the usage of bitcoin as a means of exchange for Survivalists will be extremely difficult.

You can use bitcoin on almost anywhere as long as they accept bitcoin as an alternative payment. For this kind of scenario a hardware wallet would also be a good option.

Yes, when sending a transaction one of them(seller or buyer) should at least have an internet access.

Too many question for a newbie like you. Do you have bitcoin right now? if none find or do some bitcoin first. But if incase WWIII is start, I think you don't need bitcoin, cause it's in just one missile can erase one country I think. Just enjoy life and don't pollute or damage your mind.

is bitcoin feasible for the end of the world?

I'll go with: no currency is feasible under apocalyptic conditions. When governments fall, organized crime usually takes over. No one wants to cede their money supply to another authority. Those in charge of a nation typically issue their own distinct currency which grants them control. Over the long term, this could mean that things like gold, silver, dollars, euros and bitcoin will not be viable in a post apocalyptic economy. Whatever remnants of humanity remain could resemble the movie Mad Max Fury Road.

It is possible that the knowledge of things like currencies in a post apocalyptic economy will fade fast. It might only take 5-10 years before people entirely forget what precious metals, fiat or bitcoin is. For any currency system to function requires a surviving infrastructure or collectively held knowledge and consensus on how money functions. Without those things, it may be easier to establish newer currencies and systems of exchange than to hold on to old ones that are unsupported.

It would be better than relying on your own currency if your country were at war, at least. The economy is going to tank, and you're sure to experience inflation. But then again, I'm sure the rest of the world will fare no better. I don't think you will be able to flee into a country which is completely free from the effects of war. Similar-minded people could drive up Bitcoin's value, but there is a question of how easy it will be to liquidate as the current Bitcoin will not be able to handle that many transactions.

But yeah, speaking theoretically, a hardware wallet or a desktop wallet would be your best bets. Exchanges and web wallets may be forced to close down, so you should never trust them with storing your money.
