Bfl and other crypto currencies

Does anyone know if butterfly labs' asics will be capable of mining other crypto currencies? I know ey have  to be sha2, but, say, would one be able to mine PPcoin or terracoin? Or are they so specific that they'll only mine bitcoins?

I asked BFL support this exact question way back when and the reply I got was they were meant to mine BTC only, even though everyone on the forums were saying it can mine SHA256(SHA256).  In other words, don't expect support from BFL for anything other than BTC.  But mining other SHA2 coins seems possible with a trivial change to cgminer.
