[Resolved] Ledger 1-2 Day delivery-shipped as HongKong Registered Letter

I'm quite disappointed with the Ledger folk.

Shipping costs 18.07 Euro, clearly labelled as 1-2 day delivery -- it was handed off to Hong Kong post as a registered letter for delivery. Not even as an Express Mail ?



I ordered a Trezor from Amazon at the same time, paid for express delivery (~USD20) and got it within the week. Using that for my hardware wallet now.

I'm still waiting for my Ledger Nano S.

My Ledger Nano S is delivered 11 days after order from France and I pay standard shipping around 15 Euros.Since they say it is 7-14 days to be delivered it is good for me.You should contact Ledger and ask them where is the problem,maybe someone made a mistake and send your package as normal delivery and not premium/express.In that case you maybe can get some of your money back.

I've reached out on Twitter so far, I guess I'll go and open a support ticket.

Good news is I paid via Paypal so clear evidence for dispute on at least the delivery charges.

I ordered my Ledger on their official site.
I purchased it on black friday sale on 26. it has been shipped from Paris - France on 27. and I got it on my address in Slovenia on 29. 11. It came with DHL post. The shipping was around 12€.

I ordered through their official site

1) Before the black Friday sale
2) Paid 18 euro for express shipping
3) Shipped on the 28th (!)
4) Checking the tracking link they gave me shows the package as "Outward Registered Letter" from Hong Kong Post
5) It still hasn't even arrived in country, much less delivered!

Strange. You should definetly try contacting them.
I forgot to mention I payed with Bitcoin. But that souldn't make a difference.

Got a response from their support team now:

There was a bug during Black Friday on our shipping platform, some DHL orders switched to HK Post. The problem was fixed shortly after, but a few orders like yours were impacted by it nonetheless. We will of course refund you the shipping price on your Paypal account

I ordered two Ledger Nanos for Cyber Monday and I got it already. I paid 12.15€ in shipping. That's little over a week in terms of shipping if you disregard the weekends. Most impressed.
But if you pay extra for fast shipping it should be fast, so can understand OP is dissapointed.

I tried my luck trying to get the Black Friday discount too - seeing as they blamed the Black Friday sale as the reason why I'm getting my Ledger in 2-4 weeks late ...

Our Black Friday promotion was only available during the Black Friday timespan, we cannot apply the discount afterward, nor offer a refund of its value, sorry.

A bit peeved considering my order date was 22nd November, and I should have taken delivery by 24th November (Black Friday) and instead it was shipped out on 28th November.

Will update once I get my 18.07 Euro refund.

Ledger is not some shady company, they always keep their word so you can be sure that you'll get your refund.
