Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (true survival horror) is set to be released.... sometime this year (lots of delays). In the meantime, if you haven't played Amnesia: The Dark Descent, or any Frictional games, but like horror... play them. Dead Space is a kiddie rollercoaster in comparison. hype @ http://aamfp.com/

Skipped Machine for Pigs. Reviews have it pegged as being pretty horrible. Frictional "outsourced" to the people who did Dear Esthar (HL2 mod), and allegedly, it came out as Dear Esthar, but using Frictional's game engine. Some compared it to a bad story mod for Amnesia: TDD. There are actually a bunch of story mods (overhauls, in a way -- it's a "different game) TDD, maybe worth trying instead of Machine for Pigs.

TDD is way better. BUt if you want a really good horror game from an Indie developer, play Outlast. It's just perfect, seeing from all the shit that AAA companies throw at us thinking that they games are good. Like, what they did to Resident Evil and Silent Hill? Playing those Indie games I feel good looking back to the old RE, SH and Alone in the Dark.

Rise of Venice is still supposed to hit tomorrow. It doesn't have much hype or even information about it, but it's from Kalypso, so maybe some hope.

Dominions 4 is marked to be released in two days, though that's some type of "preliminary release date." If you pre-order, you can play the alpha - maybe prelim is beta. It's Dominions 3 (but 4), so they couldn't have introduced too many new bugs. 

Mech Mice is supposed to be released on October 8th. Mech Mice is an online 3D "turn-based, tactical squad game" designed with tweens in mind (I have no idea if it's an MMO). Hype @ www.mechmice.com/‎

Defense Technica is slated to release for PC on October 10th. It's a TD designed for smartphones I've never played. It's supposed to be a fairly well-done implementation in the genre. Hype @ http://global.com2us.com/ (I think they were going for a unique way to write "come to us" and decided not to use "cum to us" - or it was already taken... hard to say.)

An "enhanced edition" of Baldur's Gate II is set to be released on November 15th (with the caveat of Atari having a hand in it). They already re-released BG1, which features "over 400 improvements to the original game," but I haven't gotten around to it. Somehow, they also released a phone version. Go figure. C & C series are very good. Red alert, Generals. They are all good and can be very competitive when playing with friends. Although, be warned you will be addicted shortly after playing.
