There are a lot of ICO projects in the world. I work in one of them too and I'm also sure there are a lot of people representing other projects.

These projects can be a scam, for sure. However, there are also good projects working day and night to create something successful.

In your opinion, how these projects will influence BTC and blockchain? Do you believe your project will bring something useful to the world or it will just make the bubble even bigger?

I can say, that's true that there are a lot of scam-projects or projects who don't have new ideas, so they totally can influence on BTC in a bad way..
But those who are trying to bring something new to the world and technologies - they are great guys! I believe that maybe BTC will blow up some day but Blockchain is our future and it will help our world become better.

I would say it can do both things, depending on either we are dealing with legit ICOs or scam ICOs. Let's not forget ICOs are more connected to Ethereum than to Bitcoin, but I guess BTC is still the main gate to enter into other cryptos, even though we have Ether listed in coinbase, and people can buy ehter directly if they want. Anyway, ICOs, are definitely a good to get more money into crypto, because depending on their funding methods, they usually accept bitcoin and ether for their funding. This means that more people will buy these coins, in order to fund ICOs, if they prove to be good investments.

Of course if instead of good ICOs we get scams, it will bring lack of confidence into crypo, and keep investors away. The scammers will most likely sell the funds they raised back into fiat as soon as possible, because their address could be easily locked out from major exchanges, and it would be harder for them to spend the stolen money.

I've dealt with many ICOs but none of them was on the BTC blockchain. That is why I consider bitcoin to be rather risky. This may lead to widespreading of other blockchains and bitcoin fading in the future

ICOs are promoting many projects. Some have really realistic goals since they also talk about block chain. Through signature campaign, they find advertisers to promote their projects. Some also make social media campaigns to be more effective. What I have observed is that at the end of every campaign (since it is the only thing that information me about the project ), I don't see any improvement aside from they have raised funds.
You are right that sometimes it could only turn out to be a scam.

Maybe these companies need some time to develop their project?

But I trust projects with ready-made product

Almost all projects today make use of blockchain technology for functioning so its pretty evident here that ICOs are only here today because of the blockchain that came out along with Bitcoin.
Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency to exist and today, there wouldn't be any ICO projects if it wasn't for Bitcoin. Yet, all of these tokens try posing as competition against Bitcoin which it can obviously never beat but any turn, the downfall of Bitcoin means the rise of altcoins.

Bitcoin don't care about these ICOs at all and it(bitcoin) is not affected by anyone of these ICOs which pops every new morning, so in short there is no influence of ICOs over the BTC. No doubt there were some promising ICOs who have delivered their best and many of them are still doing very good job but  the count of successful ICOs is very low, majority of the ICOs are just flooding the market. To be honest the ratio that "my project will bring something useful" to "it will just make the bubble more bigger" would be 1:4.

Hi,

It is hard to determine either ICO will become successful..
Many ICOs are also created as means of exchange but not necessarily as new crypto-currencies..

For many people, ICO projects are also good opportunities of investment, because they believe in the proect behind it. And sometimes, those projects are visibly jokes and still, they get large investment.
How to explain that?

Because in the bitcoin community, we dare to try. We want to believe!  Wink

I've heard that just 6 of 100 ICO projects have ready-made ptoduct

Even though these ICOs are more connected with ETH, BTC still benefits from it. Most people that invest in ICOs usually just dump their coins afterwards and buy BTC. So basically, even with some of these alts eventually failing, money still moves into BTC. With the increasing price of Bitcoins, it seems getting a profit from these ICOs and using the profit to buy bitcoins is becoming the more common way to earn a stake in BTC.

Unfortunately, most ICOs do not reach the stage of ready-made and demanded product. This certainly negatively affects the blockchain industry, but projects that really benefit are changing for the better not only the blockchain industry, but also the world as a whole.

Most ICO projects create new coins and have high growth potential. And every coin uses BTC / ETH as the unit of conversion, so the development of Bitcoin depends a lot on other Altcoins and vice versa. In addition, the fact that these ICO fraud is due to their projects are not developed, there is no potential and coins are not worth, and is called garbage

There are lots of ways ICOs can affect the Blockchain, and believe one of them is to increase the bubble. It does not only affect the Blockchain, but will also affect the economy of a country. Some are scam, while some are not, you will likely discover there are more scam ICOs than the good ones, and among the good ones are the shit, which in a way makes it hard to find one that can be very reliable.

Yeah there are lots of ICOs in market but i think ICOs can influence not only bitcoin but ethereum as well.  I can say the most ICOs are erc20 based projects, as because they accept ether and bitcoins only, people will contnue funding ICOs and this will require them to buy ether and bitcoin  first.
This seems to me that as far as ICOs are live in market, the funding currencies like bitcoin and ethereum would have rising influence also

Many ICOs, if not not most of them, are scams and it's very hard to distinguish good ones from bad ones, especially for those people for whom it's not the main business. Nevertheless, I think that ICO projects have positive influence on BTC and on crypto world in general. At least one good thing they do for sure, they bring more attention to crypto currencies from the side of regular people.

i think there is still a link betweet ICO and bitcoin
such as when some one invest their money in an ICO they should buy BTC or ETH first
so it means BTC or ETH demand will increase

if you said ICO will influence blockchain, most of ICO use blockchain technology, it will help promote it in interesting way
more people use blockchain, more people will know about positif thing about it, and maybe they will tell it to other people
i think blockchain is future technology
especially in financial thing, barter => gold => fiat money => blockchain (i hope)

it is hard to say really.
most of them look good with lots of ideas and promises. and there actually are so many that will look pretty awesome at first checking them and of course they are full of nice promises and they all seem to be set to change the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

but let me ask you one thing, how many of them do you know that have done any of the things they promised? i am talking about those that are now done with their fund-raising and have had a couple of months of work to give results.
my hopes are not high for ICO projects, sadly. it can be a nice thing but will it be? i am not so sure.

Buying the dip...
