According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

This would have been useful back in 2010, when the difficulty was low. Doing it nowadays is like asking for an early retirement for your laptop.

Don't mine on a laptop. You will only lose money.

Don't mine on a laptop. You will only lose money.
When I started I tried mining with a laptop. Yes it was really not profitable, at the time, but I was shocked a year later to see with how much the coin appreciated in value. So the current value may be small, but if you mine a good coin you can be expected a nice surprise a year later. To this day I keep my laptop mined coins as a reminder that the value of time when hodling your coins.

Maybe it soinds crazy but I have an old Nokia 1020 Windows Mobile with a broken screen which I don't use and a solar charged powerbank with 30000 mAh. I have bitcoin mining app on the phone and it's on 24/7. For 2-3 months now I got around 4-50000 satoshi. Well its not something big but it is working. Well from time to time I have to leave powerbank to fully charge ( at work ) and set it back again. Well if you calculate the price of the phone and the powerbank, and the income its not worth it maybe its better to just sell them and invest the money in a bitcoin, but it was just an experimet to me I what to upload some proof but the coinbase cannot load now, I'll do it ASAP

Mining with a single non-specialized computer, especially laptop, hardly makes sense. There are coins that can be mined using CPU (Monero, etc.), but the amount generated by a single CPU is very low. Mining most coins requires at least a setup with several powerful GPUs. Laptops usually have slower CPUs and GPUs (or no separate GPU at all) to reduce power consumption.

It is still profitable if you have a strong GPU.
Currently, electroneum is the most profitable coin now, i will be making a video soon on how to mine electroneum on your laptop.

How profitable ? i think it's not very profitable to mine with that stuff, but maybe for your knowledge it's not a big problem but do not use it for a profit, or you will get something bad to your stuff.

You need cheap electricity too, otherwise those strong GPU will eat up your resources and you had to spend all your hard earned money on electricity. I think if you want to create a tutorial for home owners you should stick to altcoins, bitcoin mining has become too competitive and difficult to gain any profit from it. Besides, if one of your viewers blew up their laptop trying to mine I'm sure you don't want to be hold accountable for it

Not good idea to mine in laptop there are lots of gaming laptop are so expensive so you think it can be profitable to mine if you mine in laptop.. Possible you can gain more heat and burn your laptop gpu.. As you can seen there is no temp control because its not supported by your GPU.. Except if you wanted to mine you can mine with altcoin nicehash is automated covert altcoin that is why you mine bitcoin.. but if you have a low specs of GPU you can only earn a small amount..

Agree that it might not be suitable for normal laptops.. as they dont have powerful GPU and cooling
I would recommend using gaming laptop for this, as you would need a good GPU and good cooling to make sure it works.
I have some recommendations and settings to make sure your gpu is at a cool and stable temperature.
Anyway, nicehash got hacked lol... so i will be coming up with a video to talk about other mining software
