A lot of people seem to want to run their own faucet. So here's a PHP faucet script, powered by Inputs.io!

Features:

Inputs.io powered - no bitcoind required
RECAPTCHA Captcha to prevent botting
IP and email limits, all faucet dispenses logged
Completely automated - don't get carpal tunnel syndrome
Built in advertisement rotation - text, banner and square
Randomized prizes - choose your drops
Cash out - instant payouts via Inputs
Referral program - build your faucet virally
100% configurable - claim times, rewards, cashout periods, referral %, etc

This is really cool, but seems that the placement of ads and links could use some work. I used the same size banners that were preconfigured in the config file and it turned out like this: http://bitcoinblogger.com/faucet/

Just seems the right sidebar will overlap that top ad.

EDIT: Seems that slot is suited for a 468 banner. Might want to update that so others can avoid the same thing I did. I also dropped a blog post for you: http://bitcoinblogger.com/2013/07/run-your-own-bitcoin-faucet-or-use-our-faucet.html

You need to import the SQL file and create a MySQL database.

Fixed that simple enough. Missed it in the config file.

Can you explain why someone would run a faucet? Can you get ad revenues high enough to earn a profit?

The main purpose of a faucet is to
a) Spread the word of BTC
b) Help out people who want to start out with BTC

Profit is always nice through ad revenue, but not likely.

Awesome! Just one problem. I've done everything but when I visit my site it has an error saying:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/********/public_html/config.php on line 21

[If I were to change the [s to (s, it would work, but another error would come up saying]

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ',' in /home/********/public_html/config.php on line 21

I ended up only having one reward amount.

Also:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ',' in /home/********/public_html/config.php on line 53

Could someone give a solution? Thanks!

Change the line to $rewards = array(1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 5000);

Yeah, I found this interesting too, he doesn't even need the bitcoins, it's just robbing faucets of BTC :/. I just removed that from the code. I wonder if with that hash you cuold also block his e-mail from the site?

Well, it's the sha256 of his known emailaddress admin[at]glados.cc, so you can just trigger on that and do a payout of 0, if you would not want to give a certain user money.

Hm, okay. I still see no reason you do it. Also, inputs.io is down again..

Nice. Is there a list of these faucets? I want to get some in my inputs.io account without sending it there. Just to see how it works.

You can use the Faucets rotator to hit around 40 faucets on their cooldowns. I get the inputs.io ones in as I verify they pay as well.

My rotator so far has:

Bitcoin Blogger
Domestic Pineapple
DevFaucet

If anyone else releases one, please give me a heads-up and I'll get it into the rotator! Just make sure it is actually paying out!

Edit: I have a request too...

Can you make it to where if it doesn't pay, it errors out and doesn't subtract the satoshis? And maybe even have a counter for how much is currently able to be cashed out? Nothing is more annoying than working up to the minimum, trying to cash out, it saying there's not enough and still setting your total back to 0 again.

Well , mine is well funded enough to support a 3.5 million satoshi cashout, so for now that should be enough =P. But I will implement this in my faucet, but I think it would be nice if this were added in the default script.
