AT THIS POINT THE GROUP BUY IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED. Payments will only be accepted from people who are already on the list and from the few people that are waiting on gox etc... There might be some pieces left - read below, BUT FOR PEOPLE WHO DIDNT CONTACT ME BEFORE OR TALKED TO ME, PLEASE DONT TRANSFER BTC BEFORE YOU TALK TO ME

Theres 0 LEFT for new buyers, I am only waiting one Anonymous (waiting on gox) for payment.

***We had gapthemind lowering his order, its explained on page 4 in case you are wondering***

I am organizing a group buy for 1000 ASICMINER ERUPTER USB miners. This group buy is supposed to be for Europe only, but seems I have to include some international buyers to get to the number (original idea was not to take other parts of the world). Erupters will be bought from yxt.
I have talked to him, managed to get a good price of 0.89 BTC, which is about 65 euro (85 USD for those who like USD more) on this day (2013.7.12.). It does about 330 MHs which is the hashrate for an good 7850 card,
that costs about 130 euro, and consumes about 50 times more power! So its basicly a chance for everyone to replace GPUs.

Small comparison:
AMD 7850 - 330 MHs, 110w, costs 100 eur from ebay (used), uses ~ 960kW per year
USB Erupter - 330 MHs, 2.5W, costs 50 eur (brand new), uses ~ 22kW per year

This price is excluding shipping to your place, I will include the postage prices later. I myself would be buying 300 erupters, hence the reason to make a big group buy. I will be accepting BTC, as well as IBAN/SEPA transfers
(since btc is very volatile these days, extra 3% will be added in case of money transfer so that I dont end up paying for other peoples erupters). When the transfer reaches me, I will provide the BTC for those who used bank transfer.
Also accepting cash in hand in 6702 Szeged, Hungary (we can arrange the time). I will also put up an advertisment on some Hungarian boards to get things going faster.

IMPORTANT: People from EU dont have any import taxes or problems with customs, since this is shipping from EU!

Bitcoin address used is 1NoW8WSMkkCPb1xRAN3oLQXo5QmC8Lvw7w

In case of sending btc, please use a wallet where you can sign your trasfer, because I have no other way to prove who sent what. Transaction signing explained here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195647.msg2291965#msg2291965. Keep the messages clean, something like - forum user name, real name, address for shipping, shipping method, number of devices

So the numbers are like this

1 piece - 0.89 BTC
2 piece - 1.78 BTC
5 piece - 4.45 BTC
10 piece - 8.9 BTC
20 piece - 17.8 BTC
50 piece - 44.5 BTC
100 piece - 89 BTC

And so on... On top of this you have postage. Local pickup will also be possible in 6702 Szeged, Hungary.

People who want to pay via IBAN/SEPA transfer, pm/email me for details, I am not posting that in public.

I am writing only the postage for EU. Theres 2 types, regular, not insured and GLS. Since my company sends a lot via both post offices, I have some better terms.

Regular Hungarian post for up to 10 pieces costs 4 euro for package, it has to be signed for, and is delivered in 5 bussines days anywhere in EU. Not insured.
Regular Hungarian post for up to 100 pieces costs 12 euro for package, it has to be signed for, and is delivered in 5 bussines days anywhere in EU.Not insured.
GLS - with tracking, delivered in 2 bussines days costs 11 euro for package with up to 10 pieces, insured up to 200000 Ft (~670 euro).
GLS - with tracking, delivered in 2 bussines days costs 35 euro for package with up to 100 pieces, insured up to 1000000 Ft (~3300 euro).

Shipping will be calculated into BTC on the day of sending, and I will be asking everyone to pay for their chosen shipping method - the reason to do this is BTC price volatility these days. This is one more reason sign your message correctly!

VERY IMPORTANT: This group buy will be running for 3 weeks or less - max till 2013.7.28. Sunday, midnight, if the number is reached earlier, it will be in the thread. When it is reached I will be placing an order with yxt, and we will be updated on when the delivery will
happen. He assured me that he has enough in stock, so it should be not more than a week after it is paid.

Don't be alarmed if I dont answer your questions the same minute, I also do other things in my life, besides reading my emails and forum.

P.S. 1. In an unlikely situation, if this group buy fails, returns will be done in BTC, whether you payed in BTC, SEPA/IBAN or cash.
P.S. 2. I don't do wishes on colors - its important to get the miners, this is not a fashion show!
P.S. 3. I am not sending accesories like USB hubs, Raspbery Pi and so on... Only miners.
P.S. 4. Please keep the questions like "What is this","How does it work" and similar to yourself - If you dont know what it is exactly, look up the
threads on the forum, theres plenty. I am only here to try and organize a group buy, so that everyone gets a lower price
P.S. 5. Some people asked if orders can be canceled - yes they can, but if you make up your mind once, don't bother messaging me again later that you want in again

When can we expect the Erupters to arrive? Have you already placed an order with yxt? Is so, when?

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

No, I have not placed an order, as stated in my first post. yxt assured me that he has enough on stock (more than 1000 currently), and more arriving. Order will be placed when the number is reached. When we place an order we should expect the miners in a few days.

Let me see if i understood your math:

300*0,330GHs = 99 GHz.

300*51,00 EUR = 15.300,00 EUR

1GHs = 154,55 EUR

You will pay 15.300,00 EUR for 99 GHs ?

That's a lot of money!

Better off buying a bigger ASIC miner now and getting more bang for your buck. For the same 1BTC you can get 4x the hash rate with a group buy.

Cmon people look alive, lets get this thing going, replace your "outdated" gpus, with this price its a win win situation. Get rid of the heat and high power bills. For a comparison:

AMD 7850 - 330 MHs, 110w, costs 100 eur from ebay (used), uses ~ 960kW per year
USB Erupter - 330 MHs, 2.5W, costs 50 eur (brand new), uses ~ 22kW per year

At the average cost of 10 cents/kW it is a difference of 94 euro (120 USD) per year only in electricity, so however you are calculating it, the erupter wins

I'm interested in this, I MAY buy one to try. Btw, I have 2 HD7850's and they are both pullin 390mh/s, but thats okay, I has 2 golden clockers.

There is huge interest in the group buy, and we will fill the order anyhow in next few days, most likely by Wednesday anyhow. I am actually wondering how you are going to get 300 USB ports Tongue
It seems strange to have 30 Hubs, you;ll still need to have at least 2 PC's for all dem USB's

Just wondering, I saw your awesome GPU rigs, I grant you they'll look as awesome, less the heat +noise.

Did you manage to get a specific place in line at yxt? Or will this only be decided when you place the order on friday?
Anyways, a very fair groupbuy!

SEPA transfers at the moment need more than a month to get processed by mtgox BTW. I received a payment last week for an order I had placed on the first days of June.

For people who are asking about postponing the closing after Friday - I simply cant - I have an obligation to the people who already paid, I mean its not like you are asking me to make it Friday afternoon, but next week - people are eager to get their erupters and sincerely, I am too. So please, if you want in, you have to make it by Friday, if needed we can wait on you few hours since nothing will be done same second, but Friday is the last day.

Use Bitstamp if you want btc bought fast, if you do a SEPA to them today, or tommorrow before noon, you will get here on time.

What about taking a 25-50% deposit? With the understanding that you won't ship anything until you get the full amount.

Vdragon, the BTC's price dropped a little, but it's still hard 0.89 per one? If yes, I'd like to get some more to my current purchase.

Going to do some personal things, and I will be back to close the group buy after that. LAST CALL. After that, since I reserved some aditional quantities (extra 100 pieces), the group buy is open ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE ALREADY IN AND WHO HAVE CONTACTED ME UP TO THIS POINT. About 70 of that quantity is kind of reserved for the three people I contacted already and that are waiting on gox and coinlenders. I want to have a quiet weekend with my family, so no more new orders, the 1150 number is final. We are paying on Monday, and I will most likely be driving to yxt on Tuesday to pickup everything, so that people can have their erupters delivered to them by Friday. Thank you everybody for making this happen.

Folks may want to order some little heatsinks or fans for their Erupers.   I got one yesterday, and without a fan the whole thing heats up way above 70C.  It was still hashing fine, but it was starting to make a funny smell, took a good few minutes before it cooled enough to be able to unplug it with help of a towel.  Shocked  Running them as-is without some sort of airflow or extra heatsinking isn't possible in my eyes.

I'm now running mine with a low-speed 80mm fan blowing at it, which keeps it cool enough.

Also I had serious issues with 50% missing shares when running the Erupter straight off the USB3 port on my rig using WinUSB drivers and cgminer.  I removed the WinUSB drivers and moved the Erupter to a USB2 port, and with bfgminer it's running perfectly.

USB3 is an AsMedia USB3 chip (it's an Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX).

ck is aware of the issue with cgminer.

I think I am going to put it on the backplate of the thing (where the BTC logo is), may not keep that fan running, i'd have to have my PC up 24/7, or can I just put wires in 2 of of the 4 and connect like 4 AA-battery's to the fan?

Bit excessive TBH.  I was thinking more the little stick-on heatsinks you can buy for RAM chips.  They're usually 8 for $1 from Hong Kong off Fleabay.

As I said, I just have an 80mm 800rpm fan wired up to a 12v PSU (the PSU was from a dead Netgear hub), which just sits beside the USB hub.  That's more than enough to cool the miners.

Hmm, I'll have to see when I get it I guess. I may just remove a Northbridge heatsink of a old PC and put on an also old 80 mill fan and try to find a way to power it trough a battery or something.

So, I tried something, and won Smiley I wanted to power a 4 pin cpu fan with USB, I just cut the usb cable, and stipped the red and black cable, then put those in the equally coloured fan cables and a 120 mill pushes quite some air trough the heatsink.
I call win! I hope it'll cool it down a shitton and endure the lifetime...

It may sound way to OP, but why not? Idk what people think of it, if it keeps it cool, i'm cool too.

Patience is what we need now. When I start realizing its 2000 km ride I ask myself - its possible to do this on one run and I know - its not. So maybe he split his initial idea on 1 day trip actually to 2 days one and get some rest in the hotel.

He can take laptop with him or smartphone and make payment on the site. In fact, I would do that. Payment confirmation would be the shortest element of the whole trip.

thats correct, but if you want to drive 2k km for an appointment, wouldnt you at least contact the one u are visiting?

in fact the drive would be possible with 2 drivers, its 1000km one way (germany to Szeged), with one driver you can't

anyway, hope to hear from him soon and if all ok, there will be no further delays as the price per piece is dropping...

is in't possible idd to drive that distance in one day...

exactly. these should have been paid for before he even set off. unless he was going to be paying for them in cash when he got there. The fact he hasnt even logged on to this forum since or contacted yxt to say anything isnt a great sign  Embarrassed
im more worried that he may have been in a wreck i have been reading all his old post it does not seem like hes the kind of person to rip us off... we will find out but i think some thing happen on the drive or some thing

In that case, we can always phone his shop and find out if he's OK. He did work in a pc hardware shop right?

Before you start hunting times... I would just wait 1-2 days.
I'm not sure what's going on. I just wanted to give you the info.

Meeting was not planned in the aforementioned city.
There only the company is registered. I'm not there, neither the miners

I can’t see your name on the list.

If you did get an email from him can you pm me the original email with all the headers. (If you tell me what email service you use I can help you get the raw email).

I have dug up a load of info on the exicom company but it’s in Hungarian and google translation is not great in places.

If anyone paid by SEPA can you send me his payment details? Also if you paid in cash did you get a name, address, phone number or description?

easy to say that Tongue its the lack of contact that has been made since that is whats getting me worried (and everyone else i'm guessing)

we all transfered funds to this address (>300BTC):

1NoW8WSMkkCPb1xRAN3oLQXo5QmC8Lvw7w

then he transfered all the funds to:

1CSPFR5CrkcxHmNG9yra3rL2BW6BHttJHL

~54 BTC are still there. the rest is spreading around many addresses.

sorry guys, but it does not look good. we should have asked to see that he had BTC enough to pay for his 800 erupters Sad

And what makes you think that it really is his shop? It can be just any random shop he chose to put there. It's our fault that we didn't ask any proof or credentials. I'm guessing even some of his "customers" in the list that have paid via SEPA do not exist. I hope I'm proven wrong but till then, well played vdragon...

100% scam, there is no reasonable reason to spread our coins like he did.

We DO want his IP, becouse this is a LOT of money, about 28500$...

I really don't get it if he really is shitting us, becouse he has a shitton of BTC ( he had a metric SHITTON of GPU's in le ol' days, like 300) and probably doesn't need any more...
We made a big fault, we did not ask for anything which could proof his identity.

BUT
Let's look at it from the other side, he is still on his way, has a ton of traffic and does the payment when he actually sees the wares.

To be fair, 99% of folks are on dynamic IPs, so really all you'd get is what ISP he was on.  If even that.

vdragon could have just had real life issues - sickness or death in the family.  Or he did just lose a Bridgestone at 180kph and is in a ditch somewhere...who knows.  Fingers crossed.

Back to waiting for my Jalapeno to be sent.  Only 3 more months....may be...

Wow, thanks!
I can see a addres located in the US, and one on a Private network...
Let me have a further look.

Edit: Seems as if the changed it up a bit, now you can only see the IP location from a Mircosoft ISP..

MS no longer put the ip in the emails so a forum mod will have to give us his ip

That's funny:

X-EIP means X-Encoded Internet Protocol mostly used by internet criminals who don't want to be found by IP, it usually looks like this: X-EIP: [rRpZYj794WdIORd/MseKwfTLwCd6MAYr] instead of an IP number like this: 65.55.90.199

MS masked his real IP!

Look: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=148086.0
His e-mail is on the list. So maybe someone bought (or hacked) his forum account to prepare this crime? Maybe he even isn't a European? All we have to do is wait for logs from administrators of this forum and start analyse data then inform the police and prosecutor, because they have the power to get the details from his hotmail, etc.

He didn't know, he did a biggest blow for himself. We just loose just the money, he loose a part of his soul and end to the life and after his current life he'll (his soul) be damnationed. I've just started prey for his soul. God bless you vdragon and remember: bad things you did are always back to you doubled.

That would be nice but they are not a charity. Although to be honest when I saw yxt posting in this thread, it strengthened my belief that this is not a scam. Oh well we took our risks and lost, although I would like to see this guy prosecuted somehow.

i'm so angry right now its unreal. For those who were scammed like myself (i paid for 11 erupters) i'm doing a group but for shares in a knc miner, sure you wont get the actual device but for 0.25BTC you can get the same hash speeds as a usb miner. check out my thread at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262280.0 for more details

If there is any chance, it is pretty tiny... Let's review few sentences by the potential fraudster:

Quote
P.S. 1. In an unlikely situation, if this group buy fails, returns will be done in BTC, whether you payed in BTC, SEPA/IBAN or cash.

Red Flag 1. Here vdragon is alerting that he will liquidate all payments in fiat to obtain BTC. In other words, he will "wash" the money trail.

Quote
P.S. 2. I don't do wishes on colors - its important to get the miners, this is not a fashion show!

Red Flag 2. Unnecessary arrogance about some buyers preference. This is classic from fraudsters.

Quote
P.S. 3. I am not sending accesories like USB hubs, Raspbery Pi and so on... Only miners.

Red Flag 3. Repeating the obvious, perhaps trying to induce the idea that there are countless buyers requiring a massive quantity of equipment. All to inspire a false sense of success.

Quote
P.S. 4. Please keep the questions like "What is this","How does it work" and similar to yourself - If you dont know what it is exactly, look up the
threads on the forum, theres plenty. I am only here to try and organize a group buy, so that everyone gets a lower price

Red Flag 4. Again unnecessary arrogance. Failure to treat each buyer as individual and understand that everyone is curious about the product.

Quote
P.S. 5. Some people asked if orders can be canceled - yes they can, but if you make up your mind once, don't bother messaging me again later that you want in again

Red Flag 5. Complete stupid and incapable to handle the payment front line. What successful business you know would tell something like that to a customer: "Hey, if we refund you, never buy any of our products again!". Well, BFL and Avalon perhaps, but I do not consider them successful...

there is a chance he is legit.
If there is any chance, it is pretty tiny...

this bitcoin laundering thing is strangy:

if you follow the always biggest chunk, at the end 14 BTC lands again on the payment address
plus 40 BTC from somewhere else, makes 54 BTC
which he then send to the same address where he started the mixing but:
did not touch it afterwards, still there

this was 23.07 ~6:00 GMT. then 8:00 he told his wallet did not sync.
so IF, and only if everything is legit:
he could transferred the 300 BTC throug a mixing service to his Laptop's Wallet or so, for some reason i dont understand

i mean... i still hope he is somewhere on the way with a 300 BTC wallet to Germany

Hate to say that but this situation is partially caused by foggy procedure of ordering and long waiting time caused by XYT, I belive most of the buyers were not attracted by slightly cheaper price but they wanted to get they units as fast as possible.
Finally I did received 2 erupters from xyt but I also ordered two from vdragon because xyt was so foggy about ordering. If he would open his shop earlier and in some reasonable time, most of buyers wouldn't stick with vdragon.

I cannot help but laugh :/

I feel bad, but still

why be a c*nt?

because there's increased number of group buy scams lately, while there's plenty of escrows around
you people never learn
also buying usb miners even for reselling is risky, and dont even think about mining

Do you have an address as well? Can you post the bank receipts please? (both payment and refund). This would be the best lead so far.

I don't know what kind of job you have but it has to be pretty good to make this issue sound so small, since you lost ~1800€. That's almost the annual minimum wage in your country (according to wikipedia)!

Now, it's kind of our fault that we transferred bitcoins to some random wallet, just like that. We should have asked to see his wallet with enough bitcoins for 800 erupters (and sign a message for proof of ownership). We should have asked for id, contact info, ... and proof!

This is the first time ever I got scammed. I guess bitcoin is just too much speculation and people stop being rational. (expensive) lesson learned!

And for vdragon: If you read this, you should know that my idea about eastern Europe has not changed, infact, you made me decide that your country is a shithole and only full of scammers...

I still can't really beleve he did this, why on earth would someone do this?
Anyway, if you follow the -300BTC transaction and always choose the biggest - of that addres, you will end up at the same addres where you began for some reason?
He has to have a lot of addresses, bleh.

Don't take it personnaly, but I am so sick of eastern europe for the plain fact that there are scams every minute and trust is far to find, we HAD to know better.

How the fuck can someone do this, are people learned to do it this way, or are they so stupid to try to be mister-nice-guy and scam for 30,000$ afterwards?

- he saw the shiny thirty thousand real american dollars making bling-bling on his wallet and got greedy
- he planned to scam from the beginning and faked credibility for months just waiting to the perfect opportunity

Why not? I think only theymos can see ip, but tbh I don't think it will help much :/

Anyway, I noticed there are alot of people from the U.K. in the orderlist,
I hope you've seen this post from green65 in the other thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262566):

I have contacted action fraud today and got a crime ref. number.  Roll Eyes

Can everyone who was scammed in the UK report it to http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ if you want to i can provide you with my crime ref number so everyones reports can be linked (PM or email me)

If your outside the uk report it to your countries police.
