I'm kind of shocked the moderators are just letting this happen without removing the thread and maybe the user.

The forum mods have made it clear where they stand on this, and they've chose to allow it. For everyone who keeps leaving negative posts in my thread, all you are doing is bumping my thread up to the top for more views and I thank you for that.

I bought one of dannyjr89's accounts and have been really enjoying it. What he doesn't tell you is some of these accounts have a rich history. I found out 'randrace' is a real silverbug and has a reputation as a card shark at sealswithclubs. Imagine my surprise when I got a PM from a former girlfriend of randrace's who was none to pleased that he was back posting on the boards.

These accounts only go up in value, and I plan on flipping this one for .7 BTC later this year.

Highly recommended.

Interesting use of the forum! I'm curious how the board mods/owners will react to this for the long term, assuming it continues. I'm also surprised at the unexpected places where the free market will find value....

Apologies for what I'm about to say.

There is no way in hell that this should even be allowed on this forum.

Full disclosure: I only read the first sentence of the OP. Nothing else in this thread was read.

For scams. Although if they're just junior accounts then they're more suspicous than a modern junior account...

Is there any benefit to having an older junior member account? I mean, there HAS to be a reason besides just straight up scams, right?

Why would somebody want to buy a forum account. I'm curious.

- to scam

- paid signatures

the only things I can come up with.

if money is worth less to you than the time and hassle associated with working your way out of newbie jail. imagine a multimillionaire for example, the .15 bitcoin is worth nothing to him, but a couple hours of his time is worth thousands of dollars at least.

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

Clearly you did not read through this thread... the second reply is from me, a moderator, stating that selling accounts is allowed.  I did that to preempt everyone who would say it's not allowed.
