Are there any plans to have Guiminer or the standard BitCoin client auto-update themselves? I was admiring the work being done in the technical forum to re-skin the BitCoin client in Qt, and thinking how great it would be if these programs would notify me on start-up if there were updates so I could stay on top of things.
I think an auto-update for the client is a terrible idea. Informing you that there's a new client is fine with me. Can we maybe get a DNS record for the client's current version?
