How can these cats adversely affect ETH? I always thought that any high-grade and perspective coin based on the etherum, only strengthens the position of ETH.

The transaction throughput of Ethereum is not that great at the moment and the kitties are generating lots of transactions. Read the blog article, 2 minutes.

This reveals immediately how flawed the ethereum network still is at this point.

I agree with you, all transaction has been put in a bottle neck just like bitcoin but has been solve in just a few hours but that was years ago, its 2017 now and still the ethreum network has experience this kind of thing, i dont know what will happen to the investors on ethreum network.

I don't know why anyone is surprised. Ethereum crashed anytime a popular ICO launched on it's network too.
There is no way the network could ever have any working 'dapps' without crashing it too.

Now....imaging people trying to use this network for anything actually important. NOT gonna happen.

All hype, no substance.

That will change with Plasma, Raiden Network and PoS. Is all future growth.

apparently not for nothing that already advertise NEO, which has tens and even hundreds of times the bandwidth of transactions in a certain period of time in relation to ETH and Bitcoin.

Today there is a "funny" side effect of the success of the Cyber Kitties DAPP. See how to keep your transactions flowing here in my post https://tinybowl.blogspot.co.uk/2017/12/when-kitties-jamm-ethereum-network.html

I was shocked by this incident. I see actually what makes this concept interesting and many who want to participate.

Perhaps a kind of revolution from tamagochi, hopefully the normal fast return transactions from ethereum

Almost 50,000 transactions are pending thats why price of aome altcoins are affected, some cant send eth on thier wallet others are waiting for almost 6 hours to recieved the eth.
not only 6 hours of waiting, theres an instance that almost
one day of waiting to recieved the eth on my wallet.this is not normal
and this affect the flow of alts in the circulation.hope this would be
resolved sooner

I do agree on what you have said here which I can say that it would really need to be enhanced even more specially on these kind of conditions where sudden bloat up of transactions.I was surprised for the first time that the network do have delay like this much compared in the past which I would say this cryptokitties did really give some serious punch or hype. Cryptokitties definitely shows etherums scaling issues. But dont pay attension to that there are cats and the cats are cool
The cats are really cool. I am looking forward to even getting some for myself once the devs are able to resolve what is going on right now. I cannot imagine how the whole thing even started and what really made people to go crazy about the crypto kittens after all.

So much unpredictable and crazy ecosystem, which is what this crypto space is... And I sure want to keep getting crazy as long as my kittens will be making me some money. I hope I do not end up with no money at the end and just some kittens. Grin

Exactly, the rumor I heard is that the EOS devs and Dan Larimer created that cryptokitty game to prove how bad eth network can be when overloaded. Seems like their point has been made loud and clear. Perhaps this game is the end of ETH, as its time has come to pass on the baton.

Few days ago when I was using EtherDelta, I noticed my transactions were getting stalked and recently I got to find out I was not the only one. Just to find out some kittens are the ones getting the whole network crazy ?
I cannot imagine how I really missed out on that show earlier. It is a crazy one though and that has really shown that Ethereum can actually get congested after all.

In a way is bad news, but also means that Ethereum is being effectively used, particularly for its primary purpose that is executing DAPPs, even if they are for breeding virtual cats instead of for changing the world of finance LOL.

So, Ethereum needs now to implement Plasma or Raiden Network to have room for all news users and uses.

No way, it is just the moment to justify the Plasma protocol

Yeah, I had two transactions because of these cats. But well, the network quickly unloaded.

Yep, the problem normally occurs when a large ICO is happening and also some other activities takes place.

I believe that the time of collapse has passed. You can see the data from ethstats. net and see that gwei are the same as they were before cryptokitties. Commission and network load are low

Ethertanks will demolish the network in the next couple of days. It was already the 3rd contract by transaction earlier today before they had to fix it. As soon as it goes back live transaction fees are gonna skyrocket.

Another good reason to make ethereum PoS and start getting ready for a brilliant year IMO.

what is kitties
i think not realated collapse etherum network, or etherum transaction
but today and yesterday, etherum big problem transaction
cryptokitties are virtual pets, train then and make them unique like other pets.
I think you can also sell them if you want.
First were crypto kitties, now i'm seeing ads for new games, clones of crypto kitties. Game i'm talking about is Fishbank and if it will take off it may cause even more problems on the network
