playstation 3 No difference in quality between Composite and RGB ?

I connected my ps3 to my CRT TV using the supplied Composite cables (Red,White,Yellow) while i waited for my Fully wired RGB ps3 to Scart cable to arrive from Amazon, upon connecting the new RGB cable I found no difference in quality.

What is CRT?

It is an old type of TV notable for its bulk, curved screen, good contrast and refresh rate, and unique ability to produce equally fuzzy images regardless of the resolution used. Most are perfectly capable of displaying HD video; they just won't display it any clearer than SD.
