It's hard to know where the bottom is, I'm buying small amounts here and there after bigger crashes. If you have more to invest, buy more if the price is again below 77$.

Nobody knows what the price will do in the short to medium term...The market of Bitcoin is small and thus highly manipulative by a few large holders. My suggestion is not to try to trade with more than you can afford to lose. This takes the emotion out of trading which will help increase your chances of success in the market.

yeah I remember when I very first heard about bitcoin and Mt.Gox  they were about  $9.00 dollars each  man o' man  I do not think we will ever see that price again, but one thing for sure...they  might take a bit of a dip now and then.....but they always bounce back, and I predict it won't be that much longer before we hit  $1000.00 per btc....so,,,   moral of story,, do not be angry when they dip ......buy as big as you can,, you will not be sorry

For me it's a long term investment. Check back in a year's time on BTC. In the mean time you can trade with the alt-coins for short term profit.

Happy spending or investing!

My advice? The price is cheap! Buy as much as you can!

I guess we all have to hope that the price does not go steadily down for some reason or another or that the government does not place a ban on them

I concur.
I think the market is a bit soft right now. We may dip even further to the ~$50 range but if your buying for long term, you should be fine. I expect to be closer to $100 before years end.  another boom by next spring! Wink

It's good on the long term, as others posted.

The signature campaign posters adding useless redundant fluff to their posts to reach their minimum word count are lowering my IQ.

"invested enough for a bloke with not a cent to his name right now lol, hoping for a steep rise to improve my situation"

A distinctively Anglo-American sentence there. Just buy and hold if you can't day trade effectively. Also, be happy. Although you've had a rough time with it so far you're still way ahead of the curve with bitcoin. If you buy and hold you are liklely to do well in the long term. Though this is a good strategy, also consider spending very small amounts of coin when you can just to keep the bitcoin economy going.

If you don't have a cent to your name you should do something else with the money you don't have.
