My favorite book is Alice in Wonderland. The whole essence of adult real life in this story and it revealed through such allegories that only the child will understand.

I like The Stranger by Albert Camus. I deeply understand the feelings of the protagonist or rather their absence.

Problably the best book that I ever read is "the shadows of the wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It is written very well and there are complex characters and the story is rich of mistery and suspense. There are been written even the sequel but for me they aren't good like the first..

My favorite books are where the author bring together a wide variety of approaches (historical, scientific, aesthetic, etc.) and presents the material in a lively, eloquent voice. It's almost as if you are sitting across from the author, and hearing his/her palpable enthusiasm for the topic.
