I've been gone several months and it was at 11 USD. It's now at 73 USD.

Been rising pretty high since that bubble "a few" years ago

Haven't you heard? Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme devised by Libertarians and other Terrorists to launder drug and kiddie porn money and it serves no purpose other than speculation.

If you still own any, sell them quickly while they're still worth more than a penny.

Edit: I forgot to mention that evil Bitcoin miners are destroying the planet. Sell, sell, sell.

He said he has been gone several months, maybe he forgot his old account (or never had an account here before) and just created a new account when he came back to bitcoins?

Nobody knows what the real value of a bitcoin is. That's the magic of volatility!

If there is something that will make Bitcoin succeed, it is growth of utility - greater quantity and variety of goods and services offered for BTC. If there is something that will make Bitcoin fail, it is the prevalence of users convinced that BTC is a magic box that will turn them into millionaires, and of the con-artists who have followed them here to devour them.
