I voted "Yes, but not often." Then I see if you're asking about if people click "ads" in signatures. It's pretty easy to tell if it is an ad or not, and if it is, I don't click it. I suppose the only "ad-like" one I click is organofcorti's signature link to his blog, but it's because it almost always has something of value on it.

The poll is asking about any links, whether ad-like links or not.

if i trust a person i look at his links. when the first thing i notice about a person are his links, this is bad for my trust. Forum activity: 5 Sig: donate me here, get free bitcoins there .... wtf???

therefor my slowly curated list of links is one ad for my baby an other bitcoin stuff people should know about.

I do within reason. There are only so many dice websites I can handle, otherwise I'm always ready to discover potentially exciting new businesses.

I also have a habit of not reading ridiculously coloured signatures as they give me the shits. If you're going to try advertising I'm a big fan of keeping it simple and useful, rather than trying at all costs to grab attention.

If I notice a referral part and knew the service before, I make sure to remove the referral part before opening that tab.
Definitely I judge people by their signature.

Says the guy with huge text in his signature...

The removing the referral link thing is pretty funny though.

So I judge you as an obnoxious idiot based on your signature?

I would only do this on accident or if I was explicitly getting paid to do so.  That's just me.

I see only one person voted they have signatures turned off, but 22 people voted they ignore signatures. Why do you have signatures enabled if you just ignore them anyway?

These are the stats for a link I have on my signature (my donation Bitcoin address shortened with my shortener): http://tny.im/nx+
So yes, people click on signature links, and I don't even post a lot.

Not really. I pretty much know what all of them are already. I may click if I see something new that looks interesting.
