Historically, from what I've witnessed during my time of dealing with bitcoin, forks seem to cause the value of btc to skyrocket... Obviously take my word with a grain of salt because it's pure speculation based on what I've witnessed/experienced, but I, personally, wouldn't worry one bit and would continue investing as much as I possibly can in BTC.
On a somewhat related note - correct me if I'm wrong - but those who possess hard wallets and/or personally control their own private wallets.. have the option to choose which bitcoin-type crypto of the "funds" in their bitcoin wallets (though limited to whatever amount they had in their wallets at the time the blockchain snapshot is created for whatever particular forking-off bitcoin crypto)?
