ETherum is drastically reduced due to the influx of capital from the market into bitcoin. Prices for bitcoins are currently $ 16,000. This causes the entire altcoin market to fall and Etherum is the same.

The market is irrational.. and the cryptomarket is EVEN more irrational! There's no explantion to many of the pumps and dumps we see daily... It is a market moved by hype and news instead of fundamentals for the most part.

Ethereum is holding its ground pretty well in terms of fiat value, but BTC is skyrocketing meanwhile...thats why the ratio is so poor today (good price to get some eth if you ask me)

Cryptokitties, because of this cat game, they successfully plugged ETH's imperfect blockchain. So now it is difficult to transfer ETH and ERC20 TOKEN. Affected by this adverse event and the substantial increase in BTC, almost all altcoin is declining.

I think the price ethereum drops because of the over height in the eth network. Many people move to other platforms to minimize costs, especially for the token developers. Gas Sets that must be high and the number of pending transactions that occur can also be the trigger of the down ETH prices.

Ethereum price drops because of the bitcoin price increasing. Notice the price of other altcoins also drops this means not the only ethereum that has very low value. So, I believe ethereum will become huge its value with its moment.

I think Ethereum price is dropping because more people are exchanging their ether for bitcoin trying to join the new bitcoin trend.

ethereum still at 400! it was 290 before , ethereum didnt go down too dip! its just the bitcoin who goes up if you are referring to eth to btc you will see that eth is really a drop too much but look at the other side and see USD is not that bad to eth ! so dont be so sad

There has not been a huge fall in the price of Ethereum.

this is due to the viral crypto kitties that cause congestion to ethereum. all transactions are pending even you set more higher gas price and can't even sent any tokens.this is really sucks!

Most altcoin drops because people always dump it for bitcoin so as to  gain from it.

Because bitcoin is eating all the crypto-market resources at the moment. Capitalization is limited and it's just gaining bigger % part of it. So eth falls in price.

Certainly the network congestion is playng a factor.  Eth always seems to go down whenever any major network event like this happens.  Blame the cats!

It's down for two reasons. First is the heavy traffic on the ethereum network caused by the so-called cryptokitties. Second is the Bitcoin mooning. So even if ethereum has steady price, its value would still decrease in terms of bitcoin.

There is congestion on the Ethereum blockchain and they said traders shouldn't panick. After a short time, things will normalise and the price will resume it upward trend.

Here at the expense of falling prices for eth just do not worry the contrary, rejoice and catch it possible to buy at a cheaper price. After a small fall, there will be a big jump up, believe me!
