There are lots of large holders who can and do easily manipulate the market by themselves. The more public a pump is the more it is a publicity stunt.

The key is to mine with all machines, maximizing hash rate between Adj1 and Adj2. Right after Adj2 happens, turn the mining machines away, either mining other coins or turned off completely until Adj3. After Adj3, normal mining can resume.

With the high difficulty and low network hashrate, blocks will not be solved. That means when LTC holders try to transfer LTC to Gox to sell, it will take hours before the confirmations come in. As a result, a large amount of LTC is stuck in limbo, on the way to the Gox wallet but unconfirmed by the lagging blockchain.

That would damage LTC's reputation & possibly get Gox to drop it straight away.

So, most LTC miners won't do it.

Anyone saying this is retarded. That would mean that someone could get Gox to drop a coin just by saying 'let's pump it!'.

Fontas was calling on miners to do things, not just say they were going to. And much worse things than just pumping, in the quote I was responding to.

So your first sentence is true, as long as by "this" you meant your second sentence.

Fontas game is to cash out in fiat when the price is high enough, well i dont give a crap about fiat and so should everibody else we need a real chrypto economy, with all alts, and that will be inavoidable as more exchanges will be comppromised exchanging fiat by banks and goverments, thats why they are attacking because when peopple walk away they will lose it all, bey bey petro dollar and the control was just an elusion, because we stoped believing it!

It seems unusual that the LTC IPO project is gaining more publicity than Litecoin itself, contrary to the original intention of this project.

LTC will pass $7 with ease upon MtGox support whether LTCIPO or no LTCIPO. This is just a coordinated effort to increase publicity of the coin to coincide with this step in Litecoin's development, amplifying the effect. Highlighting Litecoin's features (scrypt, block times), future developments, the recent payment processor LTCPP, and the potential of the coin to rival Bitcoin should take the main stage, not this project.

this is a load of bullshit lol

Have you guys realized that this is exactly what will happen anyway (with or without any intervention)? I think this bubble (and the bursting) is inevitable. The only question is how much damage will be inflicted on LTC.

And on the upside, if BTC will hit $150 as a result.
