Signature campaigns and long sentences

Does anyone else find they are speaking in longer sentences and making longer posts since taking part in signature campaigns?

Many require 80 character posts so I find I have been writing posts which are longer than I normally would.

I would love to analyze user data involving posts before and after joining a campaign to test this hypothesis. (would also be neat to plot post sentiment)

Yeah right. You muat also be on point  or relevant with the topic being discussed. Also, let the conversation flow normally . Very long reply in my opinion is not necessary like several paragraph as people reads only  importants points in the fist few sentences.

No. I sometimes write 200+ character posts and other times just 31-character posts but it is true that you can see a lot of shitposters stretching their crap to get paid.

That's the first time I heard that a campaign's minimum is 80 characters, the most of them ask for 100 as minimum, but in ideal it is 275$, but don't think that you may write whatever, I saw many banned accounts just for they typed the same word over and over again in the comment just to make it longer.

Maybe for you and many other people mate, personally I'd say what I've got to say and always try to keep it short and simple. I like it that way myself.

It has been practiced in past where the junior members slot used to be more in number in a signature campaign nowadays the trend has changed, there are very little opportunities for a junior member and even for member rank. Most of the signature campaigns now are announced to participate for only Full Member and above ranks.
However it doesn't mean that the young ranked members don't get any opportunity, if you are generating a quality post you will definitely find other opportunities such as bounty campaigns. For the young people bounty campaigns are opportunity to get to know about the alts and earn some alts.

I don't count characters in my posts.  The campaign I'm in now has a minimum of 250 char/post and I'm really wondering if I'm going to qualify for payment this week.

But no, I don't have to be redundant and keep repeating things because my command of the English language is good enough such that I don't have to.  Writing thoughts that flow nicely in a paragraph or two is easy when you have a decent vocabulary.

I'm not getting paid for this post at all, btw, since meta is excluded.

I was not aware signature campaigns were requiring such long winded posts. Nothing is worse than a shit post except a long winded shit post. I get paid for mine, but I rarely ever type more than 10-20 words per post.

As long as you have something to say it can be good.  I was just joking earlier with the previous comment where I was redundant.  

It can help prod a user to elaborate, think deeper, and communicate more when posting.  Almost always I can find enough to communicate to meet my limit.  Though sometimes it is hard to elaborate when communicating something simple and direct.  Sometimes I don't meet the length requirements even.

Overall though I am communicating more and this effect has passed over to other social media outlets.

It does'nt matter how long atleast what is the required characters of the campaign, constructive and not redundant and meaningful post,can help the signatures to campaign it.Deeply think the idea before you post.

I definitely appreciate this attitude.

I am not approaching this from a 'how should' approach but more of a scientific 'how do' approach.
 
The theory that involvement in signature campaigns can have an impact on writing style can generate testable hypothesis.  Right now I just have my own posting history and can analyze that but I am confident that statistical tests will show a difference in things like sentence length, number of adjectives, etc.

Like to examine and study things.  Not approving or disapproving.

Trying to put my money where my mouth is and writing scripts to analyze post histories.  It takes time though but am more than happy to show results.

First of all I am thankful for identifying a weakness in my post quality. I admit that my English vocabulary needs improvement to make my post qualitative. I will not say anything more about my post quality but generally speaking, we should prefer the idea presented in a post more than the words picked by a member to explain it. Sometimes a good idea is hidden behind the inappropriate words picked to explain it.
I am going to response in a professional way of management I.e. make your weakness your strength.

I think it is not necessary to write long long sentences in a signature campaigns , it is better when it is quite long but its informations are very substantial for the readers to understand it immediately ..

An average 80 character post is super less and is around the length of this sentence.

I personally only count posts that are above 200 characters, which I feel is fair and there are definitely people who make knowledge 200 character posts.

Ps- This whole post is around 300 characters.

I don't really get it why Signature campaigns requires a lot of character or words per post. Does it have a huge impact? Yes, long posts are quite good in the eyes and make the forum better. But, is it really necessary in the long run? Maybe the OP is right, we need a statistical data that might prove long posts does really have an impact to what sig campaign members are promoting.
