Currently I'm just using an old computer on minergate (doing bytecoin) Also, spent a very small amount on their contracts for bitcoin and monero.

I would recommend not to use minergate at all, seen many people saying that more than half hash rate goes to them, means technically you mining for them with your electricity. Read about others too.

Really more than half? I did not know it. Very interesting information. It will be necessary to read about it. Thank you very much.

Hi all, thanks for tips. I will stay away from nicehash for a while. Just waiting for the miners to arrive.

There's some Scrypt switching pools out there that you could try. Mining Rig Rentals is another place you can go to to sell your hashpower; they're legit and have been in operation for quite some time.

Do you think that this is a good way to get out of this situation? Last time it became very difficult to extract.

Unless you are referring to he fact that Nicehash basically takes all of your hash and you get nothing.

Unless you are referring to he fact that Nicehash basically takes all of your hash and you get nothing. Well, I was almost suggesting nicehash to one of my friend on the same day. He opened the website and it says on maintenance, I thought it was normal, then came home and saw the news. But to be honest it was doing best for people who don't have mining hardware (i agree that fee are high, but its up to them and us), after this no one trust these sort of cloud mining contracts anymore!! I also lost my 0.02 BTC mining reward when I rented my hash, thought of moving it fee was higher so waited to get more BTC, but now its all gone in the thin air.

At some point everyone has posted something stupid, but I wish posts asking what to mine would result in an instant suspension. That said, the correct answer is nothing. There is not a coin that you can mine that you will even break even. You will lose money on electricity. You probably got a "good price" because these things are 3 years old and worthless. My advice would be to find a scrapyard and see what the metal is worth

WRONG Even I lost more than 15 BTC by time and now knowing how much they worth today, I just thought to new coins that can be mined even with old equipment. So I just restarted and mined for EMC2 with ... gues what 2 computers of 6 what I had in past in 2012 with 4xATI 5850 equipated. Funny no ? I mined 103 coins. You will say it's not enough, I agree but it's a start. Still expect to get scrypt miners and put them to work. The question is to remain at EMC2 or move to other coin in SCRYPT ?

I'm not saying that you can't mine coins. I am saying that you will spend more money on electricity than the value of the coins you mine. You will lose money. It would be cheaper to buy the coins outright.
