I decided I should move my 2 ASICMiner Block Erupters off my power hungry desktop, where they were getting the advertised 330 MH/s (each), so I followed these instructions from Adafruit to get cgminer running on a RaspberryPi
http://learn.adafruit.com/piminer-raspberry-pi-bitcoin-miner but my hashrate is now a horrible a ~150 MH/s
What's wrong? Does anyone else have a similar setup that's actually working properly?
Maybe a bad USB hub? I'm thinking about trying one of the Anker 10 ports, but it seems overkill for 2 Block Erupters.
Raspberry Pi too slow to keep up?
Just needs some tweaking?
Thanks.
I also think the problem is with the HUB and/or power supply of the HUB. There are reports of 10 USB Block Erupters controlled by a RPI, working with no problems. There are also reports of problems with USB 3.0 HUB's.
I'm using a RPI 256 MBytes, with MinePeon, hashing @ 336 MH/s each, for 1 month, with no problems. I'm using a 7 ports HUB 2.0 bought @ China, but with a power supply with 5V/3Amp. The original power supply included with the HUB was only 1Amp.
