On block chain say for example someone sent me 1btc and I was curious to know how much btc is in the wallet they sent from how do I see this?

I have clicked an address that I thought was it but I think it’s the whole block.

It would be far easier if you post the tx here.

Example:

https://blockchain.info/tx/56225929c587a49e6d503780fdb107debb5bc7d3bbf188f90f4b73e8e8b0173b

Sender:
1Nn1Qh5s8SQ9pyFChUZ3p1cbdyiKggk68i
Receiver:
1MfBdWXTUEKpoaZsefd3nq9tkxR8n7Xm7e

Use wallet explorer:
- no luck with the sender but hit with the receiver:

Why do you want to know how many bitcoins are contained in the address? Want to learn it for what needs?

The openness of the blockchain is part of the reason it was created, to be an open ledger instead of having to rely on banks to keep track of transactions. If you don't want to use the blockchain then you could always stick with the bank system of closed ledgers. The PKI system was used so that names weren't attached to a wallet, unless you publish that information somewhere that someone could find.

Stompix tried what you suggested but does not work, surely there is a way to track back to see what wallet sent you the funds?
