Why I can't send ETH from myetherwallet?

I want to send 0.2 ETH from my wallet at myetherwallet.com to another wallet at bitbay.com, what gasprice and gaslimit to use? It shows information that the transaction has been accepted and is waiting for confirmation but ETH remains on the account.

I've got the same issue.  It's the first time i've sent from MEW and for the life of me I can't understand gas.

I used my trezor and signed the transaction using that.

MEW says TX was broadcast to the network.

Clicking on 'View Transaction' gives message "Sorry, We are unable to locate the Transaction Hash"

i initiated an ETH transaction with the default gas price in my Ledger (21 gwei). It's been pending for over 13 hours. On someone's apparently completely backwards understanding of Nonce, I put in another transaction at 55 gwei (they told me this would supersede the previous one), and now both transactions are bouncing around on ehterscan.io as between not found and pending. The transaction with the lower gas price has a Nonce of 2, and the transaction with the higher gas price has a Nonce of 3. From what I now understand, the transaction with the lower gas price will never be added to the blockchain as no one is going to mine it at that price, and no other transaction can be acted upon until that one is settled. So... essentially I can never again access any of the ETH funds in my Ledger wallet because the transaction with the lowest Nonce will never be mined??

i did submit a second transaction with a higher gas price. but due to Nonce, am I never going to be able to do anything else since the transaction with the lowest nonce is at the lower gas price?

anything over 51gwei works good generally. If you want faster than make it higher, it's pretty simple really. If an important ICO and i want to buy as fast as i can i make the gas gwei limit 200 so i can get in before everyone else with there slow limits. It's just that lame lemon crypto cats crap making it slow. This game is one annoying problem for me as i have to regularly send ethereum from MEW to binance.

So i set the Gwei to 61

set the amount of Eth i wanted to send to 1.4

Set the gas to 21000

and sent the transaction

partial success this time in that etherscan.io finds it but it's status is 'Failed'

it said "Warning! Error encountered during contract execution [Out of gas]"

...so do i need to set the gas higher.  If so , what kind of amount?

The ethereum network is really congested this week because of the cryptokitties ICO going on. In order to send ethereum you need to increase both the gas limit and gwei so that your transaction gets processed. You should use 51 gwei and 70000 gas limit for your transaction, then it's gonna get confirmed.

I think that we can blame CryptoKitties. I am really hoping that collecting kitties is a short lived trend because it is creating chaos on the network: ICO's have been retargetting their dates, EtherDelta has slowed to a crawl, gas limits have increased, and transactions have been delayed significantly. Somebody needs to call the dogs out.

By the time you wrote that i'd already jumped in with 40000 Gas limit.  It's currently pending.

Is there a way i can cancel that or can i just send again with a new gas limit, or is there nothing i can do until it's finished pending?

If the tx runs out of gas, it will automatically be cancelled and you'll get your ETH back in your wallet. I too sent ETH today to my exchange wallet and got a confirmation within 30 mins. No clue why 40k gas limit also is not working.

MEW is having some issues with the Ethereum blockchain, but far as i know you only have to put a higher fee and that is it.


I use a Ledger nano, and believe me, i am able to send transactions but they are worth a lambo... I mean, $3,5 for ethereum fees is EXPENSIVE AS HELLL

I wanted to send some eth to cryptopia in order to trade a little, but it is impossible, those fees are very expensive and the time that it is taking to get the first confirmation isn't worth it.

Waiting more than 12 hours, and paying more than three dollars.. No thanks, i prefer using bitcoin if this is going to continue like this.
