I'll choose Intel over Amd any time. For me, Intel just seems to be better.

I remember many many years ago, Intel was the only cpu worth getting because their single threaded performance blasted AMD, and unless you had a specific multi core need then you would always go intel. I've been out of the loop for a while, but I have heard, given apps are getting more efficient and AMD has improved, it might not be so clear cut anymore.

both the processor has its own advantages and disadvantages. it all depends on you and your requirements on what you choose.

I've been using Intel since when I first met a computer. I'm pretty happy with it.

There is two factors: price and what do you do. AMD is cheaper and better at tasks like streaming and rendering, Intel is better for gaming but costs more(way too much if you ask me). Personally, I would recommend something like R5 2600x as a budget choice and R7 2700x as an expensive one.

Earlier and now I chose Intel because of the test of time and experience, but now many of my friends are AMD and they are not inferior to Intel, while having a price 50% lower

I think that AMD is a better choice than Intel because of its cheaper price. You can get nearly the same clock rate and CPU cores as an Intel for half the price. While this is a fact, one cannot deny that Intel is the leader in microprocessor technology. So, Intel would be the winner in terms of quality and endurance.
