New to the cryptocurrency scene. So my understanding is that the "blockchain technology" makes Bitcoin valuable. I've also heard that supply & demand forces give it value because something like only 21,000,000 coins will ever be mined? As a note, I am worried about investing in Bitcoin with CME/CBOE releasing futures on Sunday, and the rumor (according to Bloomberg) is that hedge funds and other institutional investors will take massive short positions. Is that amount of volume enough to send the price of Bitcoin down?
