I think governments are currently involved and they are investing so much money into bitcoin because if you look at the bitcoin market capitalization it to big for ordinary individuals.

Agree with you, BTC cross $10K as people's expectation (and still rising) is maybe the way it convincing the world (including every nation's government) that it has to be considered. BTC, this teenager, I think it will move on the mixed market price in 2018. Government involvement will make it up and down. So sideways market maybe in 2018. And another ALT coin will not missed the chances to rise every single main coin's correction. And so does BTC investors whose will not let every single dump moment passed and buy low and lower.

2018 is going to be THE year for cryptocurrencies. These past couple months are only the beginning of the massive adoption that is going to come next year. A bunch of products will release their DAPPS and we'll start seeing scaling solutions in action. I'm personally very excited for what's to come next year!

I think BTC will hit $50k minimum because we will see people start pricing in the next halving into the price, and probably we will see more government intervention in the space, because they are already surprise at the success of the space, I also expect some big projects to fail. I also predict we will see a new project that will likely give BTC a fight for that number on spot

Agree with 50K...and I expect maybe even more. What do You mean by "ground breaking announcement by governments" ? If you mean national crypto currencies I agree but in 2018 I expect some form of taxes on crypto because of failing fiat money. I also expecting Insane jump in prices of Gold and Silver in 2018.

yes i mean we are likely to witness more governments launch their own cryptos-Asia, Africa perhaps. Also governments are likely to continue to seek ways to regulate cryptos, especially with the current debate of tokens as security.

As crypto coins' values are increasing so fast, government is bit shaken. Now we hear more news on bitcoins from all medias which is indirectly guided by governments. There is going to be lots of negative opinions from government which will redirect its people from focusing on bitcoin or other altcoins.
