The more people have it, the greater the coin ecosystem. Just give it time.the main thing that the company was a success and carried out their plans.

Difficulty up 1000% from yesterday. Im looking to start the official discord later today.

I will be setting up a donation account for this coin to help with future development.

Trevon James is still making a ton of money on referrals, so I am going to reach out to him and see if he will help with development.

I have lots of ideas that we can do with his coin, But it is not my coin it is ours, So please post any ideas that you would like to see Incorporated into the coin.

Just to make it clear, if you are mining on the pool that I announced earlier. I am testing it and payments, among other things, are acting really weird. You could LOSE all your mined coins. It's not that I want to steal your coins, but the pool at this moment is not reliable at all. Keep mining at your own risk.

@DEV:

Please take a look at this: https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte/issues/17

I'm pretty sure that the bug is present in this coin, and is driving my testing pool crazy, as it fails for that very reason everytime payments are due.

Will stop the pool until you can investigate it, as making payouts by hand for hours doesn't look like the brightest idea. Will be back once the problem is solved.

Thanks!

Update on the pool:

The problem: due to a (possible) bug in the wallet, when the pool sends payments to miners it tries to use unconfirmed coins instead of the already confirmed ones, the pool sees it as a failed payment and sends it again, most of the time succesfully. Some time after that, the first payment transaction passes succesfully and that leads to a double payment to the miner, which won't go through because lack of funds unless the wallet remains funded (I spent 800 of my own coins yesterday dealing with it, thinking that having a buffer ammount would mitigate the problem, but it didn't).

The workaround: I have modified the pool code so when a payment transaction fails it won't be sent again, knowning that sooner or later it will get eventually confirmed.

The solution: fixing the bug in the wallet would do it, but not having the sources renders that impossible to me, so it is up to the dev.

I would say that using the pool is mostly safe at this point, but keep in mind that I am using an untested workaround and that miners COULD LOSE all their mined coins if the workaround doesn't do what is expected. So, understand that the pool should be considered as testing and that you mine at your own risk. That said, payments are being processed normally AT THIS MOMENT, but can't assure what will happen in the next hours.

Cheers!

After looking into possible issues with the 100 confirmations, we have ran into a problem.  This wallet was compiled quickly and for free at WalletBiulders.com. They are refusing to share the whole source code with me.

As such I think it would be best to end this blockchain on December 13th 2017. The chain will be preserved.
A new chain will start and  full coin swap will be open for anyone that is currently holding TrevonCoin.

Now would be the time to share your thoughts on keeping the Scrypt algo or switching to something else. There have been some requests to switch to a cup friendly algo for newbies.

Wow after reading development for this project i am excited. A new chain will be born. Great!

I am kinda new to mining. Is it easy to migrate to new chain? There will be no loss coin right? And also there will be some time to swap right? Like in a period a week or so.

I wish the new algo is equihash for new chain cause it is gpu friendly.

The pool is offline because all PoW blocks have been already mined. Will be back online if a new chain is started, hopefully without the 100 confirmations bug, so everything will be stable.

BTW, I'm totally for a new chain and a coin swap. Will help as much as I can with nodes, the pool, etc.

Best regards!

Hello Dev,

When you are planning to relaunch the coin with the new algo and what is the planned swap ratio of the coin 1:1 or some other?

A couple of things.

Regarding the pool, there are still some fractions of the coin remaining to be payed. The payment threshold was 1 TRV, and those bits are less than that, but they are yours anyway, so I have payed it by hand.

Regarding the new chain, I will probably not mine, as my capacity only allows for very poor CPU mining, so I'm not going into discussing the new algo. I confirm that I will setup the pool again as soon as the new chain is available. In the "old" chain there were 10,000 PoW blocks, so there should be a premine of, at least, 500,000 of the new coins for the swap. I guess that we can agree that some premine for the developer is also expected and deserved. I'm not asking for a bounty for running the pool, I did it just because the coin looked so "innocent", not trying to say that it will be the next bitcoin and that it will finish all the diseases in the world, that I was happy to make my little contribution to the fun. Anyway, if you decide to give out some tips for the "pooler" I will not protest, either  Grin Grin Grin

Now let's wait for the algo discussion and the dev's news.

Cheers!
