Bitcoin's performance for past 2 days is absolutely ridiculous! I wouldn't be surprised to see 20k by Sunday if this keeps up! I think we are seeing a 25k before 2018!

A correction may happen soon after this insane leaps and crazy price jumps a correction is not bad cause it depicts good health for bitcoin that can slow things and might not be able for us to reach 20k usd for now but definitely next year we could reach it especially when there is an big investor coming up.

I would love to have a correction, so I could invest more! With the continuous bull run of BTC, 20k$ in the next few weeks isn't impossible!

BTC was over $19k on coinbase recently, but on some other renowned exchanges like bitfinex and bittrex.com it hasn't crossed the $16k line yet. If this uptrend continues then it wouldn't be long before it crossed $20k mark on all exchanges.

With the current move of Bitcoin it might reach 20k+ but in my opinion it will not, I believe the current price growth of Bitcoin is too much already. There are 2 reasons why this is happening first because of the future exchange and second because of the no ETA FORK and there is the market correction which might happen anytime also. Change is coming and it will dictate the future of Bitcoin.

It seems like BTC is going to retrace very soon. but then again, i thought that when it hit $12,000 USD

Yeah ,Your posted was early for bitcoin price but I think the price of bitcoin will going to $20k soon and bitcoin price is easyly go to $40k after this 2017 year.And who investing in bitcoin are not repent to the price of bitcoin  and I hope bitcoin price will continue increasingly.

That is from the Korean exchanges. Korea is really seeing the coin at a higher price and they really wants to have their own bitcoin. Others are saying that it is also because of the ongoing conflict between the North and the South that is why people are trying to stash their Fiat to Bitcoin.

Started from $700 from last year bitcoin has crossed $17000 price tag. Bitcoin is rising much ahead of its predicted price in very short span of time. If this pace remain intact then it will cross $20000 before end of 2017. Rising demand of bitcoin in cryptocurrency market is increasing its volatility. As a result many economic experts, governments and central banks are warning their clients about investing in bitcoin currency. But still bitcoin price is rising, it will go beyond $20000 soon.

Well, it all depends on the law of demand and supply. You will notice that Bitcoin price is not same in every country so the price is determined based on the current demand of the market and supply for the same. It works like UBER surge pricing feature and as a result, something like this happens

However, I think Bitcoin will reach $20K in international markets soon but there is a possibility of the correction and that will reduce the price by 20% to 30% in my opinion.

The actual price difference is currently huge between exchanges because of increased volatility that is unprecedented in known history of bitcoin (10k variation in one week. Wow). So it is a little too much to say "it is already 21k" because "it is already at 21k at bithumb" and to be more exact "there might have been only a single transaction at bithumb at 21k. Personally, I use the price metrics from coinmarketcap or coindesk, those services show the price averaged over exchanges, and are much more truthful than a single exchange price.

What is interesting, that with current volatility those two services differ widely between each other too

If the rate continues to flourish at a fast rate, there's no doubt that Bitcoin would reach $20,000 anytime soon (maybe even sooner that expected). However, this increase may quite be alarming because for every rise, there is an equal opposite downfall. Hopefully, we can all be aware and prepared for this. Right now, I guess what we can do is enjoy the moment with Bitcoin having such a remarkable rate.

i want to clarify my mate that bitcoin price is surely increasing with a quick rate and in very short duration it will cross 20k$ soon.
I am not agree with the idea of equal rise and equal downfall because rate of bitcoin is increasing due to its an excellent performance and due to which it is continuously getting more and more customers so in future the rate of bitcoin will most probably increasing while there is small chance of falling.
