A Realistic ScenarioImagine, you were selling 10,000 Altcoins for .0005 BTC so that’s 5 BTC.
At the current price of BTC ($12,000) that’s $60,000.
And you were not able to go online for 12-24 hrs for some reasons.
The value of BTC fell down to $9,500 and you didn’t know it.
Naturally, your $60,000 will drop to $47,500. You just lost $12,500 in just 24 hrs.
We can say that Bitcoin and Ethereum are behaving more like assets rather than currencies.
This is the problem that Emmetropia wants to solve.
What is Emmetropia?Emmetropia is a Waves-based token intended to be the ultimate storage of value.
By keeping the price steady, Emmetropia can reach that goal.
Emmetropia is a token born from my imagination as I watched the crypto world.
I started trading, so I bought a partial Bitcoin. I had a hard time buying the Altcoin I want so I was delayed.
But then, Bitcoin’s price fell down so I was able to buy less of the Altcoin I want just because I got delayed.
And, no, the Altcoin’s price didn’t move that much.
I asked myself, “What if instead of using Bitcoin or Ethereum, we can buy Altcoins using real money like the US Dollar?”
But I answered my own question after a few seconds.
In the online world, if you want to buy something using USD, you will have to use Paypal or credit cards.
And applying that in the world of crypto currencies defeats the purpose of decentralization.
Plus the fact that they can always file disputes with Paypal or their banks to get their funds back.
According to Wikipedia, Emmetropia is a state in which the eye is relaxed and focused on an object more than 6 meters or 20 feet away.
The light rays coming from that object are essentially parallel, and the rays are focused on the retina without effort.
Why did we choose this?
It sounds cool. Most people, including me, have heard of Myopia and Hyperopia, but not Emmetropia.
When I checked the definition, it was perfect for what I was building!
Emmetropia is the state of having a perfect vision. It is the most perfect term for the experience I had when I realized that this is a problem my team and I can solve!
And so Emmetropia was born. And the rest will be history...

Mass AdoptionThe success of a cryptocurrency depends on how many people use it.
Emmetropia must be adopted by the masses, even those people who are not crypto enthusiasts, for it to gain a strong foothold.
Well, not only cryptocurrencies but any kind of product requires mass adoption in order for it to be a huge success.
That is why a certain percentage of funds collected from Pre-ICO and ICO will be allocated
to promoting Emmetropia via internet ads such as Facebook etc.
WalletWe will have at least two types of wallet.
One will be a lite wallet for Android phones and iPhones.

Why Waves?We are still busy writing codes for our exchanger so we cannot write codes for a new token. Soon we will launch our own blockchain and our token.
ERC20 was also considered, but with the recent surge of the price of Ethereum, and Cryptokitties, we decided to go with Waves Platform.
We will replace your existing EMM (Waves Platform) with the real EMM once our blockchain is up and running. Stay tuned for updates.

We will all buy and sell at $10.

We know not everyone will follow the rule so here is what we are going to do.
Admins will place a sell order of 100,000 Tokens at $10.
