Don't buy everything in one go, slowly accumulate little by little, averaging down your price. This will help you stay sane if a huge dump would come the next day after your purchase.

There is no point looking for an expert trader here. He can do all things by himself as long as he is holding and not trading. The most important thing is for the OP to understand that the crypto world is volatile. You may buy at a certain point today and then it goes down tomorrow.

But that does not mean it won't still rise up back, so there is no need to ever panic. ETH is good and it is in a good dip now which makes it a good buying point. BTC has had some runs and now with the corrections, I feel it is a good time to also buy.

I would not say much about XRP as it is not my thing to tongue lash any coin, but be sure you are doing some research and you are comfortable with any coin you are buying.

Spending your money most in bitcoin is a good choice because the bitcoin already proved to us its capabilities to increase every day and as of now the value of it reached almost $16,000 which means you made a good decision in partitioning your money. However for ethereum value it reached $460.72 which also increased by 6.33 % and for XRP since it has the most less value among the three coins then spending 1k is also a good decision.

So don't simply wait instead buy a small amount first and wait for again right time to enter. You can also consider adding some IOTA which actually corrected and slowly started moving up again. Nice one though, but you may have to wait a little bit now that Bitcoin is in correction to know whether you should buy or not. If you cannot monitor charts, please just do, even if a massive correction should happen as so many people have assumed, it does not mean the value of bitcoin will not increase further later on.

You are going to be holding for a long term and that is what you should focus on. XRP is good but you should also know it is centralized and I personally have my reservations, but the choice is yours.

i believe the dip that people were expecting already happened a couple of days ago. it was a complete week of dropping price, nearly. and that was the dip. waiting for the dip is not such a good idea anymore if you ask me although buying right now may also be risky.

also i do believe that the reason why altcoins are rising and you call them "emerging altcoins worth investing" is because bitcoin price stopped doing anything for the time being. it has been nearly 5 days without any wild swings in bitcoin apart from normal 3-7% swings every day.

Yep. I just wish that Bitcoin's price would not go for another round of wild swings. Hope it will stabilize and would stay as it is until 2017 is over. This would give time to solidify Bitcoin's market and allow altcoins' market to run again smoothly.

25k to spend for short-term investing or long-term investment is a good idea, you could have also added coins like litecoin, neocoin, dash mean to say that you could have added 2 to 3 more instead of 3 alone. If you are picking for long-term investment then always try to pick the crypto coins which have good demand and trend in action along with that see that their technology is up to the mark and have some great scope for the coming years.
