What was bitcoin value when you first heard about bitcoin, or actually pay head to it. And what was it when you first started earning it.
And for what value did you first bought bitcoin?

I don't remember about the value of bitcoin when I heard about it, because I was not interested back then. But when I got interested, the value was around 350-400 USD. And I started earning and also bought a very small number of satoshis as well.

What about you?

The value of Bitcoin was around  $1500 JJanuary the year when i heard about Bitcoin and i didn't put more seriousness about not until its value went to around $2,500 and as then i had no enough money to invest but not withstanding i invested the little that could invest the recent skyrocket on Bitcoin market value to above  $16,500.

When I heard about it, It's price was around $4300. At that time I thought that it was too costly, but see today's price its $15000.

I heard about it when a bitcoin sold for $100+, but I thought it was a fad and something that would come and go. <today I want to kick myself for not investing at that price>

I got in at $300+ per bitcoin, but I just tested the water with some small purchase. I sold everything again when the price reached $1000+.

Then the price suddenly dropped and I got back in at $400 per bitcoin. This time I bought much more and I kept 50% of that. This was the best investment I ever made. ^smile^

I've only heard about bitcoin last year. And all the satoshis that I earned, approximately .3 btc, I already sold it. Too bad huh?

I think the value was about 300-400$ when I first heard of it,
And it is pretty much surprising how it went from 300 or 400$ to 16,000$+ .

I heard about bitcoin around 2013 it was $30. but i didn't get involved, when i first started using bitcoins in 2015 the rate was $300. I never bought bitcoins just earned them for my services and never kept bitcoins with me for more than a month, I'd just sell them but now after a year gap buying became too costly. Now am having few plans and ways to start again into the bitcoin.

I bought my first bitcoin at around $400 but I don't know the exact price, it was around that price range.

However I have sold them at different price levels and bought some again at much higher price than at what I have sold, its quite hard to predict the exact market move. I am now holding my bitcoin for long term and not selling for day trading.

Bitcoin was only about one year ago when prices were almost flat. However, the price rose vertically within one year. There are many reasons, but I think it will rise further.

$30

And why would you "buy" them anyway ?
I used a core2duo e7500 CPU and a shitty nvidia gpu "550" to mine coins.
I never had any money to spare when i showed up so i didn't have cash to buy any regardless.

But unlike all of you.. i showed up and turned 0 cents into roughly 12 grand in FIAT then dumped it and spent it.
I invested literally nothing what so ever.
I did not even have to pay for electricity while mining because i rented a place that had the fee included.
Since i keep getting more BTC dropped into an account after signing up at a faucet / gambling site + passing around my ref link..
and i keep dumping it for cash or simply giving it away to people.

I just want to remind you all showing up clutching your bank savings i am better than you.
I am above you.
I am in a league you can never reach.

YOU CAN NEVER BE ONE OF US !

..like many ventures in my life i turned air between two fingers into a giant wad of cash.
I am talented and resourceful.
I am smarter than the investards flowing in here to buy Bitcoins so the BTC can replace FIAT.
Fiat is dead.. long live Bitcoin.
Bitcoin will replace FIAT.. so buy some Bitcoin for $19,000 ....in FIAT.  Cheesy

I've been talking about bitcoin to people since I was in high-school and always have gotten the same blank stare. I remember being on a different forum and thinking "$80 is way too much for a bitcoin", and then getting upset with the currency exchanger thinking he was trying to pull one over on me. I was talking about bitcoin, trading, earning in small ways before I even thought about the price, but the first time that I can actually remember seeing a price put on a coin was at about $50 per coin.

It's honestly a shame I didn't put more into bitcoin when I thought that $80 was too much for a coin, I'd have a nicer car.  Grin

I had so many discouraging people tell me it didn't make sense, it would crash, it would never be worth any "real" money; I'll never get caught sleeping on bitcoin again, it's getting my full attention these days and I know it'll pay off when years down the road $15,000 a coin will be a distant memory.

@aoluain
It would have been but i showed up too late to get free coins and had no savings to spend on it nor did i want to.
I refused to spend REAL money buying fake digital internet coins.
It took a special kind of lunatic to be buying them up back then.
An average person with commons sense would not have been here buying them after it launched.
At least not mortgaging their house or spending their savings to do it.
Unlike now where that is exactly what people are doing..

I can proudly say my involvement had nothing to do ever with buying coins.
I showed up and started mining then took what ever dust i collected and traded up.. bit by bit.
It wasn't easy either.. it took maybe a little over a month to get 1 single Litecoin worth a couple dollars in mid 2013.
I had to learn what the word FIAT meant and get a crash course in economics etc.
I had no previous "Forex" trading experience.
I had to make mistakes and learn from them.

I quickly learned morality / ideology is a central key aspect to all of crypto.
You will be challenged.

..how far will you go to profit ?

Anyway, i am confident the atmosphere surrounding "crypto" has changed dramatically since then.
It was a "nerd" thing back in the old days and changed soon after i got here late 2013.
For example i got here in the scene when i got flamed for calling it a scene. LOL
I showed up approximately a month and a half after Cryptsy opened for Altcoin trading.
What i am alluding to is how the bar was lowered..so bad it's been scraping on the ground for years.

I heard it when it was like 2500 usd but when I started it was already 4k usd and bow it is already 16k usd. And I started only like less thab a year ago. The price of bitcoin is surprising but I am not really surprised whn it reaches its peak as it has tha capacity to increase like what it is right now as it is the number 1 cryptocurrency and it survives for many years already

really can't remember anymore because as in then when i heard of bitcoin it was around 300 to 350, but wen i have interest in bitcoin it was now in 3500 yet i was thinking it was not legit but surprisingly today bitcoin is $15,768.40, which i m so amazed about it. hopefully it will get 22k to 25k by the end of this December or January and i know that is the dreams of everyone that invest on btc.

Hi there shamzblueworld! I have heard it around four years ago. Unfortunately, after hearing the good benefit the bitcoin have, what follows is the hack accident of Mt Gox which drastically lower the price of bitcoin. After hearing that I stop reading news about it. Eventually one year later, I again hear the bitcoin and in its second coming the price from less than a thousand is now on almost two thousand. What I did next is to rebump my mining rig, which still did not return a positive value. I try to purchase using an app and eventually see the dramatic increase.  Wink
