A quick episode review on a 13x Zotac GTX1050Ti - 8x EVGA SC 1070Ti - 7x PowerColor Golden Sample RX580 8GB along with quick review comparison on a 8x EVGA SC 1070 and 6x RX480 Red Devil 8GB build. Jam packed episode with lots of rig goodies. Additionally announcement that BBT will be in Miami at The North American Bitcoin Conference (TNABC 2018) January 17th through the 21st.

Yes ... i know the GTX 1060 6GB if you can find them for a reasonable price still reigns supreme; but short of those... this episode aims at a few builds.

You need to flash your bios if you haven't. I had a 580 go from 20 to 25 with just that.

I havent flashed the bios and I guess thats the main issue. But I dont know how to do it on SMOS. Should I install windows first mod the bios and switch to SMOS??
thanks

Modifying and flashing the Bios from Linux is definitely not for the faint or new to doing so. On Windows the only tools you need are Polaris Bios Editor and Atiflash. Also the pixel patcher with RX 470/480/570 cards to bypass the driver signature check in Windows or you will have a code 43 error in Device Manager. You don't need the patch if you run the cards under Linux.

For the PBE 'one click timing patch' Bios mod I get the best results with Polaris Bios Editor v1.6.2. It automatically detects each memory type and adjusts the 1750 MHz and up straps with the bundled performance straps. PBE 1.6.1 adjusts from the 2000 MHz and up straps. PBE v1.6.3 and up adjusts the straps from 1500 MHz and up, but the 1750 MHz straps are more stable.
