Wow lot's of confidence in Ether. Just be more cautious in your investment. Although if you choose to all-in in Ether it means bigger gains but it also expose you in higher risk when it turn sour. Try to break it into two.

Its not wise to do, unless you have a lot of money or you have extra income that you can get when there something bad happen in ethereum, but even you have a lot of money, its not right to put all your money, its better if split it by two the half of it is for buying ethereum and half is for emergency uses. I don't suggest you to put all money in one altcoin. You can put 25% each in three altcoins and bitcoin. You can select 3 coins from top 10 list of coinmarketcap because those coins are already well established in this market.

I think it is a good idea.  But before you make a decision you must know the risks and you must be ready to bear all the risks including the bad at once. But i think the risk is very low.  Because eth is good and potential coin and the price must be up. My prediction in march the price will 1,500$

buy ethereum I think is good for today because the price is still down, but my advice you do not buy ethereum money you can buy other altcoin like ripple because my ripple sequence is also good for long term investment.
