I could look at it from a technical perspective or what it adds to businesses, but I decided to take a more personal approach.
I have been working for a company for over 7 years now. While I love the company and my work, like a lot of people I also dream of being independent. I would love to be my own boss, work when it suits me best and decide my own focus.
I have tried this before and have seen others try this, but there is 1 common struggle. At the start, it is very hard to actually get your first clients and build a sustainable income. Even if you have built a network of people, you are always looking for a person willing to give you your first chance on your own.
This is where Experty will be a huge asset in my opinion. It makes it much easier for a person like me, who wants to try building his own company, to start gathering income. I have built a network of business people, but I am not sure how many of them will give me an opportunity to work on a big project as a freelancer. With Experty, I can offer them my advice and my view on their situation for a marginal fee. This lowers the threshold for them to contact me and it gives me an extra way to gather income in the first period when I decide to be a freelancer.
For me, this is where Experty truly adds value to my life. If Experty can be integrated into my Linkedin profile, I would feel a lot better about making the step to become a freelancer. I can even test the waters and see how many people are interested in paying for my advice.
In the Netherlands, I don’t know how many businesses in the Netherlands (where I live) would actually pay for expert advice from external people, I think it is more common here to at least hire a freelancer or have somebody on the workfloor. However, I do know we have a real freelancer mentality here. For the Netherlands, I think that will be where Experty can excel and add value to our local market.
I hope that it will be easy to integrate experty with common social media, especially LinkedIn. This would give me so much flexibility. I could even start working part time, and try and earn extra money with my hobbies. For instance, I like to write about Cryptocurrency, but I also am passionate about football and have written predictions for betting companies, among other hobbies. It would be great fun for me to try and see how Experty can help me earn an income with these hobbies. This would give my life much more diversity and I think it would increase my happiness a lot.
I know the main focus for now is the Crypto world, where I can also try and earn income. However, in the long term I hope to have Experty available for almost every expertise you can think of, kind of like Clarity.com. If you are able to reach that phase, I will be a very interested user and will try out different things to have Experty get me to the stage of being an independent freelancer.
Let me paint a picture how I would like to see my future 5 years from now and 10 years from now, in which I think Experty can be a big help. 5 years from now
I am now working 24 hours at the company I have been working for since 2010. From Tuesday to Thursday I am focused on my work innovating the business. The other days I am focused on my website as a cryptocurrency advisor. I am focused on 3 topics here:
• What upcoming ICOs would be interesting? • What cryptocoins would be profitable in the short term? • What would a great long term portfolio look like?
I will earn extra income by being available for advice as a cryptocurrency investment advisor. This advice is all made possible through Experty. I will obtain my leads from my website, my linkedin and articles I write for various cryptoblogs and crypto news publishers.
My income will be divided as follows: 50% income through my current job 40% income through crypto advice given through Experty 10% income through website ads/sponsorships/donations 10 years from now
I have made the switch to being an almost full time cryptocurrency advisor. I now make my own planning, working whenever it suits me best. I spend 60% of my time on my website, which is the main source of leads for my advice business. 30% of my time is spent on giving advice, made possible by Experty. I am available throughout the week, as I do not have dedicated times where I need to be present at a company.
Periodically, I am hired as an advisor for the company I used to work for. I am no longer actively involved in their projects and operations, but I do still follow the business and they rely on my expertise every quarter to see if their decisions and priorities are correct.
I am now one of the most popular Dutch cryptocurrency advisors, being asked a lot for articles, interviews and events. This is also part of my income. My income is divided as follows:
• 30% income through website ads/sponsorships/donations • 20% income through guest speaking at events or companies • 40% income through online advice via Experty • 10% income through online advice for the company I used to work for.
This would be a dream job for me, as it will be very flexible, I make most of my money doing what I love to do, while I keep a connection with the company I used to work for. I think Experty brings me a very important step closer to achieving this goal.
