Confirmed TX on the blockchain not showing up as even on the blockchain in armor

I have made this picture to hopefully demonstrate this issue, armoury is online and I've not had a problem like this before

TX is showing as confirmed over 6 times online but showing as not in the blockchain in armory

So trying something I told armoury to rebuild and now I cant get it to start again, always crashes with this: Have rebooted many times, have tried running BTCore first as well - always the same thing.

update - should have added i'm  on Armory 0.96-beta-a3d01aa722 and Bitcoin core 0.15.1 64bit on QT 5.7.1

That version of Armory does not work with the latest core (0.15.1).  You need to upgrade Armory to the release candidate.  Look at the stickied thread called 0.94 RC1

Does the core automatically update? I've been running these two side by side for months without issue.

No to the autoupdate. 15.1 is just under a month old. Did you mean 0.15.0.1? That has been around for a few months now
Regardless, Armory 0.96.4rc1/0.96.3.99 and Core 0.15.1 are the latest. Hopefully that should sort the db build issues.

Ok the new verision loaded up my balances correctly but only once, and it wouldnt go 'online'

Restarted it and now it doesn't even start checking databases it just sits there, even if I tell it to rebuild databases or rebuild and re-scan, each restart it just sits there on this screen without any balances - https://imgur.com/a/R8fEU

Have tried it with Core running independently and without, restarted the machine many times... its just the same, borked?

Feel free to redact usernames as you did before for privacy's sake.

Save it and upload the contents to pastebin.com or another service.
I'm not a dev, so I probably won't notice much, but it will help goatpig/achow figure out what is going on.

Well after multiple fresh installs of armory and always recovering the wallet but then armory not rebuilding the databases, i thought I might as well give re-installing bitcoin core a go, now i actually have progress bars and timers in armory rebuilding the database.  I'll report back with progress

So it loaded up with my balances ONCE, but wouldn't go 'online' i forget what block it said.  Now if i restart it I'm back at the same screen as the above screenshot, preparing databases writing is bold but no progress timer etc. just sitting there offline

Tearing my hair out here, need to get some transactions done!

If your data's on separate drives, it appears that Armory isn't being invoked correctly. I see the following in the logs repeatedly.

I don't know offhand why you're seeing the split in data amount available. That might be a bug. In any event, you said your data's on separate drives. You need to correctly invoke Armory in that case, as seen here. Try that and report back.

Well i 'invoked' armory (only the blockchain location is non standard) like this

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Armory\ArmoryQt.exe" --satoshi-datadir="K:\BTC Blockchain"

But i'm still getting nothing, its still sitting there offline.  (it is starting bitcoin btw as if you try to start bitcoin core after armory, core give you a message saying it is probably already running)

What I dont understand is lines like this in the log

Why is it getting forward slashes instead of backslashes, not that it matters as that is not where it is installed anyway ofc!

Which just proves that Armory is looking in the wrong place for your Bitcoin blocks folder... for some reason your --satoshi-datadir command is not working properly. Do you have something setup in armoryQt.conf in C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Armory?

They don't actually affect things... it's just a quirk of using languages "designed" for Linux (which uses /) on Windows (which uses \)

No... it means that it got shutdown (most likely you closed Armory?)... so it was just tidying up some connections/processes before shutdown.

There is no armoryqt.conf file there, there is an armorysettings.txt if that is what you mean?

Frustrated I even installed armory rc4 on another pc (another without space to have the blockchain in the default location) and have had exactly the same thing happen - it just sits there.

So I installed the older version back on my main PC (0.96), this managed to find my balances straight away and connected to the chain without any tweaks or commands. Have managed to get my btc out of my armory wallet without further incident.

Love the idea of this program but I just seem to be experiencing too many bugs
