As Alt Coins are alternative currencies (alternative to Bitcoin) and most ICO's issue ERC 20 tokens (based on Ether) , which are your favourite tokens that you own or would like to (if not at ICO sale completion as yet) ?

What functions do they give, if any? Do you hold them purely for speculative gains? If they're required for use on a platform, will you use them on that platform or are you looking to hold and sell once that platform becomes bigger?

I currently own some DICE which are dividend tokens and have already distributed profits to token owners and are not needed on their dapp.

ANy tokens will have differen functionality based on the its platform. If that was a betting platform and the token will be used for its users to receive the dividends from the income that generated by the platform. It's not only pure speculative gain but i can deny the fact if there are some tokens were being used to speculate.

I will hodl em if i need the platform but if i don't need it and i should need to hodl it.

I give an honest answer to these questions, though I honestly support the project of the coins I currently hold, I don't really care about how they will do to make their project successful or not. as long as I can see the price in the market increasing every year, I will keep holding it until the target price has been reached and that's when I sold it just like what I did with the other coins I hold these recent years.

Currently I do not have any favourite ERC 20 tokens because I have sold them and I hardly hold them as well, this is because nowadays the team are always fast to dump on the market or exit scam, and one can't be too careful, so once I get into any and sees a good profits, I sell and watch the project, if it later turns to be one with good intentions I set a time to buy back.
Also, if I hold a token and it can be used on the platform for purchase of goods and services, first I will check which is more profitable, the goods or selling to Bitcoin, whichever one that is, I will go for it, unless the goods are of exceptional value, then I can use the token for it.
It's just that, many team are good in designing a platform but lacks what it takes to manage it.

I don't really like ERC20 Token.

Do you want to know the reason? because the circulation distribution was really too many than coins and they did not create the fundamental price first for the circulation. More preferable to non-ICO and Coin Type because the circulation very awake and give a good fundamental to the price itself.

They become popular because there are many new investors come and support it with a hype but in long run they will also forget the same as many ICO project from before. So tokens as alternative crypto currency is not good investment at all if you are into long term investment or holding . They are only good for short term since there are always an hype for newly project and give more hope to investors but it will also be abandoned after years .

Never actually hold tokens they are seemed speculative specially when they just appear but sometimes if you wait a bit more it could really outwork well
