In v0.1.1:

  • Improved built-in miner performance
  • Minor GUI display fixes

Credits to those who also contributed to this release:

Mike270
pankkake
Reed G. Law

This is not a mandatory upgrade, but for miners it is recommended to upgrade.

Instructions:
  • Backup wallet, record your balance.
  • Uninstall v0.1.0.
  • Set up v0.1.1. Double check you balance is correct when client starts.

Have fun!

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Is miner performance upgrade processor family independent?

Yes. But some systems would see larger increase of primespersec over v0.1.0.

That sounds great! And I agree that building it yourself can be a mess Smiley

My AMD Win 7 x64 machines (quad and hex-core) still run faster on the latest x64 hack build from alternative build thread but my i7 got a 25% boost over previous builds.

We've now got about 60 VMs mining PrimeCoin! Cheesy

Do you have any idea when it will launch on an exchange, and which one first?

Kate.

Wow. That's a lot, what kind of pps are you getting? I'm only getting about 8000pps on my 5 systems running it (3 vm, 2 physical).
