How does 100 Mkey/s compare to a 780 and a 1400 mhash rig ?
What kind of temps can I expect ?
Nice rig. The temps will be near what you would see in CGMiner, and during the test run, if they exceeded what you felt comfortable, vanitygen allows me to run a lower amount of threads to keep it down. It's never exceeded 73 deg C for me and I have a 5870.
Based off of some simple math, my 5870 hashes at 154 Mhash/s in CGMiner. I get 12.4 Mkey/s out of vanitygen. So your 1400 mhash rig is 9.3x more powerful than my rig, and should be able to get roughly 115 Mkey/s. When combined with 780 mhash/s rig that would get roughly 65 Mkey/s, you would get a total of 180 Mkey/s. I would need to run a test to confirm this, but your rig is looking good.
We could use a VirtualCL Cluster (
http://www.mosix.org/txt_vcl.html) if you have a third device (RPi, whatever. anything capable of running Linux. not possible in virtual machines though). That would allow me to channel the performance of both rigs at vanitygen at once. I use it with CGMiner with friends too to give a total output in CGMiner as well lol.
I will also PM you this information.
